So cool. This is my childhood. Where I grew up in and around this area. Been a while since was last down that way and is great to see it again:) the one thing with the weather. Sure it can be cold and wet and very windy (That is why the trees are shaped like they are, battered by the winds, you can see the same thing on the West Coast of South Island as well). But, you see the weather coming, it arrives gets it over and done with and leaves and does not linger. Some beautiful sunsets can be seen from all along the coast and there is nothing between you and the sunset except for the sea.

There are loads of videos of (predominatley young, overseas) tourists chasing each other around the main tourist sites of NZ. A guide to locations less visited is a great idea and I look forward to more. Great stuff!

It would be better if they stayed where they are in my opinion…most of them are bludgers.

@@Pete-z6e agreed, soon the "tracks" become roads, and them roads can't be undone, fully dependent on more tourism dollars.

This an area I knew in my childhood and now in my seventies I frequently visit it on my motorbike. It is one of my favourite rides especially from Orepuki to Manapouri. Look out for the crazily named crib (bach to you North Islanders) Pollyfilla Palace at Cozy Nook. Just a magic magic area.

Nice guide. Thanks for your effort. A couple of friends and I rode that area as part of a motorcycle tour around the south Island last summer. Next time, like you I'll take the motorhome with surf boards and spend more time at each beach. They are some of the most beautiful beaches in the country

Thank you. Hubby and l are planning on visiting areas of NZ we have never visited before. The lower South Island is an area neither of us have been before. We live in the Far North, the opposite end of the country. So thank you for this lovely video, I’m now very encouraged on doing this trip south.

Just moved back to Aus after 6 years in NZ. Can't beat the beautiful scenery in NZ, but this video reminds me why I moved back here- the weather here in Aus is unbeatable! Must have had 3 days of rain in 3 months. I love the warmer climate so much more.

Notice you have the hexagonal Sun Simulator in NZ. Dunedin, of course, is an old Tartarian town with atchitectural and utility(cable csrs) relics from the olde civilization in NZ, way before Polynesians arrived from Hawaiiki(Taiwan).

Well it's a stupid floor plan for Tartarians. You would have thought they would have taken the contours into consideration, being so advanced.

very nice but way too superficial... you didn't really explore any of those places at all... you could do a complete video on just one of those locations. That was just the blah drive-through in a campervan type video but still nice.
@remoteplacesnz Жыл бұрын
You are correct, I could easily make that video 14 hours long with the content from that section alone. But I try to get a balance between presenting enough info to attract interest in the area, and not turning it into TV Mini-Series, that few would watch. Thanks for the comment.
