What a beautiful story. I am one of those people who are bothered by DNA databases, both private and national. HOWEVER, a cousin of mine just found out he had a daughter 33 yrs ago, with a woman he met only once and never saw again. She didn't know his last name, or anything about him. It was a complete and total shock. There is so much love going on in my family right now, she has been a blessing. They both couldn't be happier. It just happened, so everyone is excited to meet her. On a side note, his name is Wolf, and her name means 'little wolf'❤

Lola Hope, Lola Hope, well it is a little confusing. It sounds like Jessica was born from a previous relationship and put up for adoption. Kathleen’s grandmother’s personal letter to her mother told about the adoption. But we aren’t told when Kathleen’s mother received this letter, and so we don’t know what she felt when she learned about it. And which grandmother was it who told her? Her father’s mother? Kathleen’s mother chose not to tell her that she had a half-sister. Maybe it was painful to her. Maybe her husband hadn’t told her about this previous daughter, but his mother may have wanted her to know after he died. It’s amazing they found each other then without DNA. Last year I got to meet a cousin I didn’t know I had. Apparently an older uncle had an affair in 1942 which resulted in a girl being born. We found out that my aunt did know about it and offered to adopt the baby, but the young lady (who didn’t know my uncle was married and had two children until she told him she was pregnant) wanted to keep the child. She moved away, and none of us 17 cousins knew anything about it. All my uncles and aunts and my parents are deceased so we don’t know how many knew at the time. But her daughter had her DNA tested with ancestry.com and she was told she had a cousin! She contacted him, and he was the son of my cousin, who would have been a half-sister. Unfortunately, she had passed away. But this new cousin was eagerly welcomed by a niece and four nephews and their children. They had a reunion last September, and I went by train out East to meet her. She brought two of her daughter. She looks like my grandmother! These reunions are very emotional. It was for her because she had no idea she had such an extended family!!

We were going to reply, until we saw Vicky's intelligent response. There are certainly questions left unanswered, and as Vicky alluded to, it could be because not everyone that was a part of the story-line was able to be a part of the episode, so we're left hanging a bit in a few areas.
