All this talk of scripts and artists interpretation.. jim and ed.. gives me an idea. For a CK group artist thing.. you guys should write a 4-5 page script.. red room and/or street angel.. and put it out there for us artists to work on and then at a deadline put out there, you guys review various versions you get and give your critique and praises on what people to with YOUR scripts. Could be very fun. Idk. Just a thought. Also.. what about a version of how erik larsen did that “dragon fights your character “. What if you guys did some version of that? Thinking out loud here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh man, I am bit bummed about the paper used for Higgins version. I understand Brian Bolland's reasons for hating it, but I actually prefer it. I have always liked Higgins coloring.

The Noir edition of Killing Joke is the best of the Noir series. It is a treasure.

Yes. I have struggled for years to find the right white media ( and I’m not talking about OAN.) I used Pro White in my scientific illustration classes, but it is too crumbly. I now use Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White.

Posca acrylic markers are great opaque whites. A little chonky, but pretty opaque.

There's a Neil Gaiman script for a Kelly Jones drawn Sandman in the Dream Country trade. Would be interesting to see Jim and Ed take a look at that.

As soon as I heard from Bolland that it has the entire script, I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I had the same reaction as Ed lol For $35 on Amazon, it’s honestly a steal at that point. I got my old copy to read along side by side with it. It’s unfortunate that “Watching the Watchmen” didn’t include the full script but rather a more of an assembly of art and notes, I liked the format but expected more behind the scenes with the actual writing. Glad I came across this because it’s my first introduction to a full Moore script.

The two books ooen thing reminds me of the forward to Nabokov's pale fire. He's pretending to be two authors and suggests that the reader buys a second copy to read his footnotes while reading the poem. I've always thought he was ribbing obsessive readers

Print job a 1/4 inch off? For huge million run web print jobs, maybe. Otherwise you would be completely in your right to refuse the work. Modern lithographic presses have very tight tolerances where most registration errors are at the most 1/72 inch.
