I remember being excited to get this for my birthday on PC. Then I found out that the ps2 version was way more fun. The PC version, while having you start on the beach ( closer to the book) and adding in more areas, it was much more puzzle based. You didn't get all the fun weapons like you did in the console version.

I have just finished this game, no nostalgia involved, no nothing. Just first time playing as an adult. It's honestly a good game. Some mechanics are creatively done with quite high quality. The different scenarios, challenges variations, etc... I've really enjoyed it!

Played this with my mom back in the mid 2000s, on a PS2 with no memorycard, we left the console on for like a week beating the game together in an empty ass room with only a TV and the PS2 whilst we were in the middle of moving out of our home. Best memories as a child figuring out everything together.

the concept of the story could be a good idea for a video game if it is done right. there was a clear protagonist and antagonist in it and the siblings have their own specialties and traits. there are plenty of side characters in it. maybe a mass effect rpg style.

I LOVED the book series growing up and I loved the film too. I played this growing up. I always had problems with the peppermint shooting section. I only got through it a handful of times and each time I felt honoured to finish the game afterwards. Also I've been meaning to watch the Netflix series but I keep forgetting that it exists.

I read the books as a kid growing up, I remember going to see the Jim Carey film in cinema with my mum and was so disappointed, the actors they had were great for their roles it was just where they missed things from the books and mashed the ending of book 1 to the end of the film for some stupid reason. The ps 2 game was really fun I played it so many times, but the Netflix adaptation was the best by far, just perfect, good actors who play up their roles well and it focused more along the books
