I didn't know God drew me in. I thought no one comes to the Father but through the Son. I didn't know the part about God drawing us to the Son. I know I was led to the place where I got saved. It was a place I never would normally have gone because I did not believe. That made me cry because I always felt God didn't have time for us, he was too busy with more important to things. Now I know that was another lie I just got freed from. Thank you! Hallelujah! Praise my Father in Heaven, His precious son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!

I was into drugs, drinking, stealing, lying, not raised around religion and did not know who God really was then began questioning that there must be more to life. Long story short, I was looking into yoga, DMT, catholicism, and Islam. But when I heard Pastor Doug Bachelor say the Sabbath, it was like lightning hit my soul and I searched the SDA church nearest me and have been there for about 7 years now and got married. I don't think you understand enough about the Seventh Day Adventist Church pastor and I urge you to keep digging. The church is not perfect, just like any other denomination, or non-denominational church, but they get deep into the word, have a powerful health mission, and are very in tune with end-time prophecies. I do agree that many youth in the church are not having encounters with God, or miracles, keeping them grounded in the faith.

I am adamant that every SDA church is different, and of course so is every believer. The church I grew up in was heavy on the word of God. Ellen G white is referenced in sermons occasionally but Jesus is and the Bible is the only authoritative book that we follow. I will admit that it seemed like SDA’s spend most of their time only focusing on keeping the 4th commandment and healthy lifestyle. My ultimate goal no matter what is to pursue Jesus and cling to every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. :)

Well, that statement contradicts the statement of the 7th day adventists I know. We believe theres alot of sincere Christians outside our church, and we believe there might be more catholics in heaven than 7th day adventists. All Christian denominations have something slightly different. My mom is a SDA. My Dad is an Atheist. Their is an enthasis on Prayer in the name of Jesus, and constantly refering to the KJB. We were also taught in church you can worship on any day but to keep the 7th day holy.

We have laws for a reason here on earth which are actually based on the 10 commandments. If we didnt have them it would be hell on earth and its like this because all flesh does not come together in holy reverence on His appointed day of rest for sanctification in completion on the appointed day of rest the Sabbath day. There is no Hebrew word sabbath in Gen 2:2-3. The word is shawbath which means to cease. Hebrews 4 tells us, therefore there remains a sabbath “rest” for the people of God. It doesn’t say a sabbath “day” rest. Our rest is in the completed works of Jesus with the assurance of our salvation.

I don't know why either. We share all the same beliefs about God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and every SDA I know was instructed to study the Bible for ourselves. Perhaps people don't like that SDAs believe the 10 Commandments still stand.

I often hear common disagreements against the Adventist church because of the name and one of the main focuses and the Jesus as being our main. Also, as far as the church I grew up in it was pretty traditional and biblically sound from what I could tell. But I am curious though towards this video and pastor Lorenzo’s view.:)

I was raised in the Seventh Day Adventist church. Was baptized at 12 or 13. After baptism the minister greeted us in a line to present us with a book by Ellen G White. Even at a young age I was surprised that I was given that book, instead of Gods word, The Holy Bible. SDA’s focus so much on keeping the 4th commandment, teaching on EG Whites writings, being vegetarian, which is fine for some, no speaking in tongues, doesn’t teach on gifts of the spirit, and most importantly putting Jesus first in our lives. I was taught that others who worship on Sundays are not saved, they are deceived. When I was young I struggled with this for so long an prayed about it ALOT. Jesus revealed that is a lie. Hope this makes sense to you as why many people feel that way. Having a true relationship with Jesus is the most important thing we can do as Christian’s.

Also we are embassadors of Christ a royal and holy preisthood,we are to give glory to God in the way we dress, not put Him to open shame. Still doing dressing ,speaking and adorning just as the world does and that is what I see here. Tatoos all uncovered,( if we had them from before they should be covered) and common language is not giving glory to God , especially seeking a sign that Jesus is real and "telling" the Holy Spirit what to do.
