A shambolic disaster - the Fremantle Traffic bridge detour

It would be nice if this video made it to Leo Coci, who is the Managing Director of the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery for the WA Dept of Transport. I'm assuming the Fremantle Traffic Bridge replacement project falls under his portfolio, which makes him ultimately responsible for this shambolic state of affairs.
You and your department need to do better.

Don’t bother applying for a position at Main Roads, you have far too much common sense to be successful. Maybe a Trump style state and local government efficiency audit is in order might improve project delivery outcomes

I pity the poor sods at Main Roads who go to work wanting to get stuff done, and get smothered by bureaucratic nonsense. I could use this bridge project to write an episode script for Utopia. You've got half the department focusing on promoting zero road deaths whilst the other half of the department is making the roads more deadly. The dialogue between the various managers would be hilarious.
