Pardon my writing of this comment, and not addressing anyone in particular, but please take this as kind advice: This creator spent countless hours to make an incredible sequel in their series, with production values and care to the voice work. Naturally, a great sense of pride, attention to detail, and care went into their creation. So, during the premiere, I must say, I felt ashamed to see that when the creator kindly asked to call a character by their desired pronouns, they were scoffed, and passive aggressively mocked. Ladies, Gentleman, and wonderful individuals in between, surely, surely we can be better than this? Kindess is not hard to give, nor should it be hard to obtain. It goes a long way. So let us be supportive of the creator, their works as intended, and their characters. For it is how we wish to be treated in return that is the golden rule.

i missed the premiere so i don't know what happened. Is johnson a different gender? As I thought they were a he? Nevermind I just saw the chat as I forgot I could pull it back up as always. I agree with you, but only 80% though. People 100% shouldn't mock one another or make fun of people who ask or wish to be called something they perfer. I can't speak for others, but I will say I call Johnson either a He or they. I don't really care much about the actually gender, it's just what feels comfy for me. Plus again they are a train, and coming from where I live. We call trains and trucks pretty much anything we wish. Females, Hes, they's. It doesn't matter. What matter mosts is what makes you feel comfy. I know in britain, locos are called mostly shes and some hes, in germany, mostly He's, and in russia, mostly She's. So pretty much it depends on where you come from on what you should feel comfy with calling a loco, or plane, ship, truck, anything. But if people 100% made fun of or mocked the creator for what they perfered, then that's just rude.

this episode is great, shows more of johnson’s character and gives us hints of a past we have not seen of them, 87546 is also given plenty of hints to this “plan” of his. can’t wait for the next installment.

This episode is so amazing. Johnson's little "What are you doing you moron?!", them acting as a big sibling to Thomas, the outburst to 87546, everything was done so perfectly. I can't wait to see what happens next with our red engine

Great work. Really like how this takes advantage of a non-major character’s perspective when the railway didn’t have a stable set of engines, not only was it a power crisis, but engines kept coming and going and while work continued to pile up. Johnson is definitely not a stable engine, I feel pretty sorry for the bloke. But the constant insecurity and uncertainty felt at the events happening beyond control creates for an interesting drama to dive into. If I had one criticism, I think Johnson needs a variation to the eyes, especially when the red engine is shocked. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an amusing face and it works in context, but the constant eye shrink and then normal eyes kind of lessens the impact. Like when Johnson finds Thomas and 87546 having a row, it feels like too much of a reaction. I only point this out since the other characters have normal eyes, it makes Johnson’s expressions stand out (in a good way), but it also makes those expressions feel like too much since Johnson does have normal sized eyes. It just feels weird not to have some variety to them, especially since Johnson needs to be so expressive to tell the story and emotion.

I've always wanted to see an episode featuring the downfalls of Edward being relocated, and I think Johnson taking over as a role model is an excellent idea. I love them as a character!

@@jacobschulman1306 well "the red engine" has no official name. The engine was just in one of the images in the first railway series book. Most of the fandom has come to name "the red engine" as eagle or a few other names. But as it has no official name anyone can do with the character as they please. And here it's name is Johnson and is non binary. Personally I view this take on "the red engine" as the superior, there is much more depth to the character than with eagle and the non binary aspect is a great characteristict aswell. It gives attention to a side of Thomas (as in the fandom) that is not usually represented and I completely support the decision. I can't wait to see what is done with them in the future and they are honestly one of the most interesting and one of my personal favourite character to come out of this fandom. Hope that helps and sorry for the long reply, went on a bit of a rant lol.

For real though, I say this with every video, but your storytelling is so fantastic and the perspective of Johnson throughout a time of Sodor where the focus is usually on other characters is so imaginative!

"You are feeling tense". Yeah, they're not the only one, No. 87546. The cuts to the " white void", the near silence or echoes, and Johnson's facial expressions, I felt all tensed up and expecting something to happen. I keep thinking that the white void is some sort of purgatory and something horrible happened to Johnson. But now I realize that it's more like a representation of the mind, and rather how they are seeing things or interpretation their thoughts? Considering how stressed they sounds, it makes their rare outbursts really more impactful. I loved this from beginning to end. The music helped highlight the mood, and every little sound effect just made you carefully taken every little detail, even that clicking noise right before everything cuts to black.

This is one of my favourite work to come out of this fandom and I must commend you for your brilliant work. Johnson as a character is simply superb and I love every aspect about it's character. I am so invested in them and the history behind it's fear of pulling passenger trains and why they have those interesting anxiety talks withing its head. I personally believe it may be due to an accident in the past where maybe they pulled a train and crashed possibly injuring or killing passengers. Guess we'll just have to wait to find out. You're a true mastermind. I cannot wait for the next installment.

All I gotta say is Very Good job. The episode turned out EPIC for how little production took. Also I love the interaction between Johnson and Regabby. After They burst out, Johnson thinks Regabby knows things they didn't want him to know, when in reality (at least that's what I think) Regabby couldn't care less about johnson's outburst. Sure, he may be a manipulator, but the expression that he had after Johnson woke up didn't line up. Either way good episode

From the title; i thought this was a rewrite of A Shed For Edward... Who's that blue engine at 3:36? Their paint is a very strong colour which i don't think real engines have. The bit at 9:37 made me laugh. I've been in Johnson's place before. What tune was Thomas singing to himself? Why does 87546's face look as if it's angled his left side? Like the face part of the model render has been rotated... It may be due to his nose being angled to his left, making the rest of his face appear to be doing it aswell. Saying that; there are times where his nose is facing his right and others where it's normal. This was an interesting story. I'm curious to see how this arc unfolds.
