I've played about 130 Yamato games and I think this guide was great. I have only ever played the Point Blank+Glass Cannon+Frenzy sort of style and maxed 2 first. It has been fun but I have been wanting to try the Spirit build and this has inspired me to try.

Pretty good video! I think Finch's video got me pre-optimizing too early, so I could barely focus on playing the game. While using your tips, it was a lot easier Fuck combos, just keep hitting 1 and 3 whenever it's off CD

It is such a great feeling exploring a game, as one of its first players. Learning something new everyday and taking other people's tips and tricks in your arsenal. Great video. I see Yamato as a great roamer and being one of (or even the strongest 1vs1 hero), so you should always try to find those solo farming players or just try to gank other lanes or get those low hp enemies. You are very dependent on good positioning and understanding when and most importantly where to engage. Her ult is actually terrible escape and I often use it as a debuff immunity rather than save. I think your items are pretty good, but try to play with phantom strike. When you get it you should already have enought spirit items, so it will deal a ton of damage if you follow it up with everything else (or just use it to last hit enemies). Also, I've started to take silence glyph to counter someone like lady geist.

Great guide! Some additional thoughts as a Yamato player: - Fortitude is extremely strong, every perk is highly relevant to her mobile/unkillable playstyle. Map movements are way faster and you never have to base to heal. - Toxic Bullets is often a great buy after a few larger Spirit items. Every game has tons of lifesteal and healing, this makes a night-and-day difference in how fast she can shred even the big bruisers with her magic damage. I prefer this over Healbane as it's much stronger and opens up a green slot for Fortitude. - Mystic Reach is 100% worth an early slot, and imo should be rushed ASAP if you're winning your lane. 500 souls is nothing and the extra range makes a huge difference.

I actually was very split on Mystic reach myself personally, I ended up dropping it with the idea of being more of an all-in build later in the game with Refresher, but reach is definitely a good item in certain situations IMO. Also, I will 100% keep in mind toxic bullets, I've felt a bit scammed sometimes when I gotta buy anti-heal with Healbane but I end up hogging a slot that I would use for a bigger health item down the line (like Leech or maybe Fortitude if I find it enjoyable to build) Appreciate the feedback. I'll probably update/remake the guide for release if Yamato gets that visual overhaul and/or any big changes in gameplay are made. Much love

@@ShieldyArmor I almost always buy ~10 items from the 500g tier on every hero. I think most people severely underrate how efficient the stats are for the price... Vitality in particular, which can get you +44% HP for just 2000g (and that's ignoring all the other bonuses stapled on). Even if you turn around sell a bunch of them before 20 min, they are so cheap that the gold loss is basically negligible - selling 4 Tier-1 items loses you only 1000 souls. If those items earn you just a single extra kill - or help you avoid one death - you've more than paid them off. Plus, the harder you snowball, the more flex slots you open. On Yamato I usually build 11 T1s (with Mystic Shot mixed in when convenient), then go Spirit Lifesteal and Torment Pulse to accelerate farm as hard as possible. Afterwards, circle back for the other purples. If I don't have slots open I'm more than happy to sell T1s, like Mystic Reach - even if it's gone by 15 min, the extra harass and early kill potential is really strong. (Personally I usually hold onto Mystic Reach and sell something else) In terms of other great T1s, Enduring Spirit is a champ. When paired with Spirit Lifesteal it actually gives more raw lifesteal than Healing Booster would, for 40% the price. Ammo Scavenger is also very underrated, if you're precise you can CS indefinitely and never get caught having to reload (denies actually net you extra shots). Plus the other bonuses and added Spirit power. Keep up the good work!

So, listening to the Space Battleship Yamato theme song on repeat during play is not a requirement? I beg to differ.

What do you think about upgrading to point blank, replacing restorative shot with kinetic dash and going for berserker instead of mystic shot for a hybrid build?

no gun damage build comparison? what's your rank?
@ShieldyArmor12 күн бұрын
Video is a month+ old but I am also biased and refuse to use gun yamato build Rank wise I cba playing ranked but my Casual MMR lobbies have been against phantoms, ascendants and Eternusi as I started playing on my own without queueing with friends. This build used to work a lot better before IMO but definitely can and should use some adjustements. (I still update my in-game guide, planning to soon enough.)

I could have probably more thoroughly explained it but it is loosely implied and mentioned, as well as shown in the background in many cases. Partial oversight on my end.
