A new series! Hurray! Hopefully the concept is pretty clear - we play the game for the normal refund period that Steam offers of 2 hours (we know some are higher) and give you our review impressions and an answer the to the question of if we would refund and wait for a sale or just avoid like a hot cup of tar. This should allow us to cover more games and still keep our signature SwitchUp Style while still doing larger reviews of titles. When I saw this in the indie world, I was absolutely blown away by the visuals and the audio, and bought it right away. Although I finished it in an hour, I find this has to be one of the best and most charming gaming experiences I've had in 2020.

@@etherspin I would love this, or a new Pokémon based like this. Pokémon sword and shield just looked so flat to me, this art style and world feeling is what a new Pokémon needs and would take it so deep back to its roots, just imagine what they could do nowadays with this tech!

I reached the peak of the mountain within a few hours but I know there’s still plenty to explore...I absolutely love how open it is and the graphics kinda remind of DS graphics which also makes it a bit nostalgic

After playing Animal Crossing New Horizons for more than 300hrs i needed a break, picked this game up for $7 and beat it like in 3hrs. I was blown away by its visuals and story I really felt like some of these characters really cared about me and wanted me to get to the top of the mountain hike. I definitely would not return this game.

Reached the peak in a couple of hours. But man were those two hours awsome! And i still am discovering new things as i play along. A relaxing, go-at-your-own-pace game with a whole lot of charm.

This is one of my favorite games. I signed up for steam to buy it on my Mac, but never really played it much (because I have a switch) and hoped it would come to the switch. I bought it immediately! Gameplay/Story - 20/20 Controls - 20/20 Visuals 20/20 Audio 20/20 Value 20/20 100% - A Masterpiece! Pros - It's fun. - It's funny - It's interesting Cons - We live in a privileged society that takes joys like this for granted.

I absolutely love this game! Each character (even though their dialogue is limited) has their own personality like the struggling college student who sells golden feathers to pay tuition and the aspiring artist who fell in a slump of depression because of peer pressure. This game is a joy! I would pay twice as much as the game costs to buy it!

I have this on PC and it got me through some vary anxious nights a few months back. It's the perfect game if you want to de-stress for a few hours. The one complaint I had was that the keyboard controls weren't great, so I bet playing it on a Switch with a controller makes for an even better experience.

The biggest and perhaps only drawback to this game is the frickin camera suddenly swooping around randomly at some times. It's bizarre.

Great idea with these 2hr impressions! Got A Short Hike yesterday, couldn't believe how cheap it was! Haven't played it yet, but the visuals totally reminds me of the DS 3D style graphics. Hearing the soundtrack play in your video was glorious, so will definitely play with headphones :)

I remember when I got to the final stretch of the hike... With the cold wind and the suspenseful music, with those piano keys hitting cold, hard notes, combined with the fact it is the most "dangerous" area of the game, it seemed like the stakes were higher, and I felt tension, I even teared up a bit while scaling those desolate cliffs, striked by the cold wind and the frostbite. Reaching the top really paid off.

I really enjoyed the "Would I refund?" approach. It really comes down to whether or not you, the reviewer gives ample support for your opinion/conclusion in the end. And the summation "would" or "wouldn't" really boils it down to what we want to know: Do you recommend the game? Great idea IMO.

Getting here a couple of years later, but today (more like yesterday for me) is the best time to play this little secret gem of indie 👏 Not only I liked the graphics, but after actually playing it, I completely ADORED the style. The “pixel art” is so perfect that it manages to make me feel nostalgic. The atmosphere is so serene and in perfect synch with the music that it managed to make me calm after a terrible day 🥹 And it reminded me of how I felt when I first played Hollow Knight with the dialogues and the characters. An absolute DO NOT MISS if you’re into cozy games. And even if you’re not, this is one that deserves to be experienced, as it is as calming and peaceful as you might need 😍

Lovely review and interesting format. However, the "refund" theme has a negative connotation (for me at least) that might set the wrong tone. What about something like "2 hour impression" or "refund or recommend" instead? Just an idea. Great work as always guys and I love the channel

I got this game for free in the Epic Store a long time ago, but I hadn’t touched it at all. Then the Indie World happens and they announce it. It piqued my interest so I went and tried it out on PC. After like 10 minutes of playing it, I stopped playing and said “No, this is a Switch game. It’s definitely a Switch game.” So I went out (mask on, of course) to deposit some cash in my card and bought it today. Graphics instantly made me think of Spirit Tracks for the DS. Not necessarily a bad thing! Oh, and, GREAT idea for a series...it's the biggest flaw with digital games. Great new series! I played this a few months back thanks to an EGS freebie. Lovely little experience that made me feel all warm n' fuzzy inside, then sad when it ended. I would have said a tenner was the right price for this, so just over half that is a bargain. Great relaxing game to play on a rainy day.
