Bob Mintzer Big Band in the eighties was one of the best example of a perfect ensemble in modern jazz. The DMP period of the band is according to me the best of the Big Band. Exceptional recording, much more music inspired and full of creation and invention. I have all these CDs and I played regularly. Bob Mintzer has been a pioneer in big band music, a chief on this matter. I love the music and sound of Bob Mintzer Big Band. It Is so special for me. Thanks Bob to you and all the musicians involved in the band over the years
