The gun shown is actually a Hk 11A1. The original Hk11 had a stock profile similar to the G3 rifle, and some other differences. It was also slightly lighter than the A1 model. This is not a bad gun. The biggest problem is the excessive rate of fire. It runs at about 800-850 rpm which is very high for a magazine fed LMG, or machine rifle. A 20 round magazine only provides about 1.5 seconds of firing time. In the heyday of the magazine fed LMG's, i.e. the 1930's to early fifties, these guns typically ran at 350-500 rpm (BAR 1918A2; BAR D; Bren; Chatellerault M 1924/29; Czech mod. 26/27/30; Nambu, etc.). This provided much better control of the guns, less rapid heating and of course, better ammuntion management. Nevertheless, thank you for a very interesting video.

In Greece as an MP you were given the chance to shoot with the HK11 and I have to say its pure Bliss shooting it with the bipod it is heavy so not a lot of recoil and the rounds are cheap so you don't have to worry about spending a lot on rounds as well

Quite ludicrous to have a machine gun with a 20 round magazine...

Yeah, imagine adopting something like this to fight a world war…
