Best video on this setup! Had me laughing and learning throughout. Thank you bro! Just a heads up on those air brush compressors, don't waste your money. Go to harbor freight and get one of the ultra silent ones. They cost the same as the airbrush compressors and just as quiet. Upside is it is a great compressor for the brush as it won't wake the baby, and it won't make the wife mad.....most important you will never have to abort the mission! 😂

This is great bro this is gonna help save me a lot of money and I appreciate that 'cause I've got almost everything I need right here in my garage, but do you just run it at the PSI the gun is set for so for instance, my gun is set for 35 to 40PSI that's what I set my compressor to.
@200990672 жыл бұрын
Awesome video very detailed just one question, what would I set the psi at
@moesscalemodelbench96882 жыл бұрын
Of course different Airbrushes Vary but around 10-15 PSI on average

Air compressors are loud--hearing loss is also a potential issue over time, so having the compressor further away is also a real plus. I recommend putting the Amazon links to the equipment in the video description. That will help a few people and might even give you a few pennies if you use affiliate links.

I’ve got an air compressor from Harbor Freight that pretty quiet, you can talk to someone standing next to it. I got tired of the racket the pancake compressors make.

Someone gave me a box of iwata air brushes, thanks for explaining how I'll be able to use them. I am preparing to run new power to my garage in the spring so i will run an air line into the house at the same time as my artist space is in the same room as the electric panel. This way i wont hear it. I appreciate you sir

This video misses a very important point. The compressor NPT is a tapered thread with no O-ring, and air brush BSP is a straight thread with an O-ring or washer. I have not been able to find a 1/8" BSP x 1/4" NPT fitting at Lowes or Home Depot. I did find it on Amazon - two for $9.

You are not talking to 5 year olds, you do not need to tell us what the Teflon tape is for and how to use it. What next, are you going to tell us that it's important we don't poke our eyes with the air brush needle because that would be bad? keep it simple, keep it brief, don't patronize your audience (means talk to them like children) and don't feel you have to fill the entire segment with word salads, less is more.
@monkeysnark70436 ай бұрын
Dude, you are rude and childish! I just came from another vid on using a shop compressor, and a few did not think or know about Teflon tape. Not everyone is a contractor, and actually I am for many many years, and have used many from a single tank to a large shop version. So, from air connection to plumbing connections, tape is needed, and not everyone is knowledgeable. Enough said.

Are you serious Moe? Those are water traps you are showing not regulators. The regulator is already fitted to your compressor. It’s the black knob in between the two gauges. Speaking of those gauges the one on the left is tank pressure and the one on the right is outlet regulated pressure. You can adjust the outlet pressure by adjusting that knob. Also you are mixing up your males and females. This should help you.
@moesscalemodelbench96882 жыл бұрын
I'm sure when people look up the part they will see exactly what it is. I'm also aware that I mixed up the male and female end. It happens. Me mixing up the names didn't change the way they work, But thanks for letting me know. And i can't say it helped in any way.
