This statement is so true. My guy went slow-mo for some reason. Hes like a sloth who wanted to try youtube out 😅

Yeah I'm a bit slow. Sloth seems a bit of an exaggeration and I assure you that the audio is much worse if I don't edit all of my stutters, clicks, and breathing out. But I don't blame you for not liking my voice, I mean, I still think my voice sounds like an idiot. My spouse says otherwise but I think they're just being nice.

@@fivedollargames55555 i apologise, i didn't mean to come off that way but reading it back i can see how i can come off mean. The video just seems to be slowed like it wasnt on normal speed. Sloth comparison was in the way you casually speak and take your time. Maybe we're so used to youtubers speaking quickly nowadays. Hope i've given no offence and apologise if i had

Dbd, It's not a new player friendly game unfortunately, but as you go you learn and it becomes a better game. :)

I'm a killer main but I do play both sides. Been playing for about 2 years now and yes it has its toxic moments but dam it's fun lol
@piley113210 ай бұрын
It can be really fun or really toxic and annoying. Its really 50/50 or 60/40 chance of it being fun. But when its bad its really bad

The issue with dbd is that there is no protection for new players. I have over 3000 hours in the game and I still sometimes get matches with players that I newer to the game or less skilled. The game uses a skill based system. It is based on kills and escapes. When you are new, you are placed in the middle, which makes no sense. There is also a point when reaching a certain MMR from which you can't lose MMR. And if you have a streak of wins by luck, you end up playing in high MMR without you actually deserving to be there. This is on top of the game being extremely grindy. You need roughly 4,000,000 blood points to get a character to prestige 3 so you unlock all 3 perks at tier 3. You need to do it for all 73 characters. That is 292,000,000 bloodpoints, with 2 new characters being released every 3 months. Most characters can be unlocked through 70 hours of gameplay each. But some must be purchased for $5 a pop or $7 for a killer and survivor pair. Some DLCs have 2 survivors and 1 killer. So you have a game that is grindy, unbalanced and overpriced. While the game is a mess, there is no incentive to change since there is nothing like DBD out there. Many games came and went and that is the only time when the devs are ambitious. The second they manage to get the competition closed, they are halfassing updates again. It took them 7 years to improve the grind. That is just because of a competition having a better grind.

Your getting newer players in the current mmr? Then your clearly not high mmr. My matches are all crazy difficult. It used to be a mix with mostly average games with the hint of either easy or hard but not now. If your speaking of the current mmr then your not in the high mmr rating and thank god for that because even for vets its a grind

Ummmm.... hmmmmm.... you know what? I'll go ahead and make a video next week about forever games like dbd because I have a different point of view that might help you feel better. Or I might just look like an imbecile we'll see.

After spousal review, we decided to just leave this as a comment instead of its own video. As a new player, if I saw this comment, I'd think. "Wow, sounds like this is a grindy unfun game. I better go play something else." So, this comment contributes to fewer new people playing Dead by Daylight, and thus contributes to killing the game. As a person who likes playing videogames, I like seeing games succeed, but admittedly I'm not really tied to Dead By Daylight so let's delve in. I view dead by daylight to be a competitive game that one could play forever, constantly perfecting their skills and adapting to both patches and players "The issue with dbd is that there is no protection for new players. " So I'm going to stop you right there For me it's kind of the opposite If I've played the game for a long time, I don't want to play with or against new players Because in a competitive environment, I view it as a waste of my time I'm not increasing my skills, just helping others or pwning them If I were to a new player committed to Dead By Daylight, or any competitive game, I do not want protection, I want to get better And that comes from losing a bunch to people who know how to play the game, it comes from losing to people who are a part of the community Admittedly, I wouldn't mind some protection if I was on a losing streak, just so that I could experience a win But that's going to happen anyways just because people are drunk or their mom catches them at a bad time So it's not really needed Anyways, continuing on "I have over 3000 hours in the game and I still sometimes get matches with players that I newer to the game or less skilled." Which sounds like your complaining about playing with new players as a veteran player and I can sympathize with that. "The game uses a skill based system. It is based on kills and escapes. When you are new, you are placed in the middle, which makes no sense." That's an exaggeration. There are problems for doing it that way, but someone above the developers at Behaviour Interactive believes that the pros outweighs the cons. And dead by daylight is not the only game to have done this, as when I played Heroes of Newerth forever ago, they did a similar thing. anyways "There is also a point when reaching a certain MMR from which you can't lose MMR." That's normal "And if you have a streak of wins by luck, you end up playing in high MMR without you actually deserving to be there." I simply disagree. If you get somewhere by luck alone, you still deserve to be there. But it does make luck a curse as much as it is a blessing. "This is on top of the game being extremely grindy." "You need roughly 4,000,000 blood points to get a character to prestige 3 so you unlock all 3 perks at tier 3." "You need to do it for all 73 characters." "That is 292,000,000 bloodpoints, with 2 new characters being released every 3 months." "Some DLCs have 2 survivors and 1 killer. " Now, hold on. You failed to put why you need to do that for all 73 characters. I believe you're implying that, in order to truly play the game, you need the ability to freely choose every perk and character. But I'm not sure. If that is the case though, I disagree. In a competitive game, I seek to increase my skills And my skills are based off of how I use the perks that I have, if any. But let's say that I can't develop certain skills until I have certain perks In that case, I need skills to identify the perks that I really need and ignoring the rest And until I have those perks, I should focus on developing other skills "Most characters can be unlocked through 70 hours of gameplay each. But some must be purchased for $5 a pop or $7 for a killer and survivor pair." Well as someone who actually pays their own electric bill. If I felt that I couldn't play the game without a particular killer or survivor It's actually cheaper for me to just outright buy the killer or survivor. This is due to the price of electricity being about 11 cents per kilowatt hour, and that I believe my computer uses at least 1 killowatt hour per hour gaming. (It's possible that my computer doesn't, I only did a rough approximation.) "So you have a game that is grindy, unbalanced and overpriced." If a game is fun, play it. If it's grindy, that's just an excuse to play it more. If it's not fun, don't play it. If it's grindy, doesn't matter, go do something else. I think any pvp game is unbalanced, but that's fine It's not overpriced. My reasoning there is because I easily got $8 worth of fun in the two hours a played the game. I could easily spend a hundred more and still be happy with it Now if I spent 3000 hours in the game like you, I probably would hate it at that point, but it'd be my own fault "While the game is a mess, there is no incentive to change since there is nothing like DBD out there." There are hundreds of great games out there, just give them a chance. You may need help identifying which games are great, and there is plenty of that on youtube. This channel mostly talks about what a game actually is, so it's a decent starting point, but I don't have as much content on it as I want. "Many games came and went and that is the only time when the devs are ambitious." As someone who has a full time job in software development, I doubt it, but anyways "The second they manage to get the competition closed, they are halfassing updates again." I don't understand what you're saying. Are you saying that when there's competition, Behaviour Interactive releases awesome updates to Dead by Daylight, and when the competition is gone, they aren't? Because, that's not the case. For one. Behaviour Interactive is a business. Businesses have an unsatisfiable lust for money. They always want to be bigger, regardless of competition. For two. Dead By Daylight has had constant competition thanks to Fortnite coming out one year later, which is still going strong "It took them 7 years to improve the grind. That is just because of a competition having a better grind." If they are learning and improving because of competition, that's actually a good thing. Rather than complain about how long it took, it's better to complain about how bad it was and how it's so much better now. Without competition it is sometimes hard to see how to improve something. Anyways, go ahead and make fun of me or something. I frequently do these TLDRs in replies or when I express my opinion on something.

Did you enjoy it and/or why did you uninstall?
@fivedollargames5555510 ай бұрын
Yeah I enjoyed it, I find it easy to enjoy things. I uninstalled it because I'm probably not going to play it again for a while and need the room. I got at least 150 games to review, and what I play off recording is heavily based off my mood. I'm in the mood for an immersive plot and environment that I'm unfamiliar with that I can take at a slow pace. So I'm doing Atomic Heart on Armageddon and having a fantastic time. After that I'll probably do a mixed review platformer and then My Lovely Wife. For one of my kids I'm doing Kirby's Return to Dreamland and for my friend I'm playing FFVII Remake when he can watch live as I've not been through it and I believe the sequel is coming out soon. Mainly though, I'm just not in the mood for a forever game right now.
