A Short Review of Nuclear Throne

That green portal needs rads to activate (it'll auto absorb them as you kill enemies near it). Basically sacrificing xp for the hat upgrades. While not initially useful, Plant's snare becomes very helpful from the snow level onward because charging enemies become far more prevalent. Also, he just moves faster than everyone else, which is nice for positioning. That equip screen does let you equip achievement skins, but it's also for equipping the aforementioned hats, each unlocked by making it to the throne with said hat. You can also change your starting weapon on that screen, but I forget how to unlock that.

to access the portal. That monument will be nothing but stone. Shoot it a couple of times for it to "turn on" . From there try to kill enemies around around it as it sucks up "money". When enough money is sucked in, it goes fully green. Thats when you can destroy it fully to reveal the green ground portal. There it lets you select extra mutators, (my favorite ) is the one where AMMO drops are now random weapoons instead. This way you come across a ton more weapons easily then just red boxes hope this helps. I was in the same situation years ago. lol btw their are mods for it. you should check out nuclear throne x10. Makes everything times 10. no joke. its like taking Ryus normal SF6 hadoken and turning it into a beam like the vs series lol
