The crown & back of my hair grows faster than the front as well. I can easily see it when I wear braids for a month or more The new growth in the back is always more than the new growth in the front. 😆

Hi I used to have the same feeling, but for me I realized that the back of my hair is much easier to manage. I have 4c hair everywhere with almost the same shrinkage but for some reason the back to the touch feels softer. It's easier to comb through, I can go faster when I shampoo it and condition that part... So I noticed that it does not break off easily. The front is different plus I noticed that wearing buns even when I would try to not get it tight would always break off the strands slowly but surely in the front and never in the back. The front just seems more fragile. Oh and I forgot the crown lol. It's a complete seperate area. Because it's much thicker and it is also the area that shrinks the most so I have to comb, wash condition that area only, into a few sections otherwise it breaks easily. Although I am now aware of those things and I try to change things, it's like the back of my hair is on its own, laughing and growing while never breaking off lol. I often have to cut the back of my hair because the other parts of my hair never have a chance to catch up !

Oh wow🫢 if only there was a way to replicate the hair growth patterns in the back!
