I've been doing that for decades- leaving a note on my Dash with just about all that stuff. Very smart. And if I carry a little two-way radio I write the frequency of the radio on it. I started doing it because I didn't want my vehicle towed off. But the older I get the more I realized it's probably a great idea in case I'm not really Superman and I might actually get hurt. We all think we're invulnerable When We're Young. And it usually takes a lot of years and actually getting hurt before you realize you're not, like when my knees started going out on me. I'm not easily impressed with buying a lot of stuff, but I am very impressed on that little bucksaw. I carry a saw blade, to make my own. That is the smallest blade and dowel rods. With holes drilled in it. My favorite part is the key rings on the end of the saw blades. Absolutely brilliant. Of course it's sold out but that's not a problem for a guy like me I'll make my own because I'm just that Shameless. Thank you Blackie

This is an awesome start to building a kit. It would make a great present for little ones to put in a haversack, to take out on a learning adventure.

Thanks, Blackie, good info, good products. For Scouting trips, we were required to complete a tour permit with pertinent info and file that with the local scout office.

Blackie, Thanks for sharing this information and letting First Responder s your plan. You sharing your knowledge and putting WE into your teaching, I remember that you said We can teach each other and share our experiences and wisdom and knowledge. I will be looking up Hooks channel. Thanks Again Sir for the way you teach. I been around those who teaching methods where like a Drill Sgt. and beat down. I never acted like that teaching in Boy Scouts and U.S.Army ,when I was adult leader when my son was in the Cub /Boy Scouts always willing to pass on what I have learned . Tim L. Good stuff. A couple points regarding youngsters and that buck saw - work gloves and no short pants. In my experience with kids and saws in the field, almost all cuts come to ungloved hands and bare legs when the blade jumps or is swinging at their side when standing or walking with it.

Hi Blackie, greeting from Australia 🇦🇺, thank you for your time to speak and help other people out , thats what it's all about. Instead of me it has to be we for our next generation of woodsman and woodswomen.

Hooks' handmade gear is popular here in the UK. That kind of "dashboard " sheet was quite common over here in the 1980's. A great, yet simple idea.

Misplaced. . . Ha! That’s going in my “tool bag.” If you’re into hand crafting your own lanyards, the quick release is known as a pop barrel quick release.

I made mine out of square trim and cut a slot in it to keep the blade in when storing the saw, I also add an end cape for the extra length of the saw.

Never leave that info on your dash. Your car could be stolen long before you are reported missing. Give your plan to a family member or friend and give them the contact info of local law enforcement.

Seems like an awful lot of work for a 12 in saw, when you can open a silky saw that long in one second.

Вещи интересные. Только пила ужасная. Китайская легче, компактнее. Меньше деталей.
