That city is a historical city. Many battles happen there, since ancient times against Muslim, against Chinese, Spanish and Americans. Many blood of foreigners and Filipino shed in historic Manila. In second world war Manila is Asian stalingrad. It was destroy by Japanese and American forces battle in manila

10:37 do you see the clock tower of Manila? You can go inside and it has a 360 degrees view of Manila. It also has a museum that tells about Manila after the 2nd world war. Manila was the most destroyed city in the world back then 2nd only to Warsaw Poland

Philippine colonize by Spanish for 333 years then ceded to the USA after the Spanish American war.And we become US colony.Spanish ceded the Philippine to the US during 1898.And US payed Spain 20 million$.We gain our independence from the US after World War 2 year 1946.

7:20 it's the monument dedicated to Andres Bonifacio. If you have been to BGC the B there refers to him. The companions of Bonifacio in that monument were the katipuneros who are the unsung hero of the Philippine revolution

The original manila was the walled city of intramuros. That man in blue again does not know what he is saying. (Stop listening to him for goodness sake) Outside the walls or extramuros are the arabales/suburbs that became separate towns back then. He confuses it to the Metropolitan area or adjoining cities of today that comprises Metro Manila. 😅
