I don't know, but I don't like how hananoi was animated, in the manga, he looks much more beautiful and mature, and it seems that we missed some chapters, of course I would like to see the manga completely as anime, but reading is also not bad there according to the plot is very interesting, I hope you will read it in your free time

Same especially at the scene where he cant tell her about this past he's supposed to look pale and almost on the verge of a panic attack. In the anime he just looks well shocked so its not clear why it was important for Hotaru to give him that space to tell her on his own merits. While Im glad this got an anime the manga art is more beautiful and polished than how it was animated.

This was such a good episode and yayy they kissed I thought that was going to be the finale but now I cant wait for the finale. I really love that Yao is motivating Hananoi to come clean to Hotaru, however, Hananoi is clearly not ready to open up and so Im glad they're going to take their time opening up to each other. You mentioned that Hotaru is probably not going to ask questions to tackle certain issues relating to Hananoi but she did ask one this episode. I get what you meant tho in terms of issues she's not aware of. It was nice to hear him talk about the old man so lovingly my boy Hananoi needs closure so he can move on and make friends his own age. I know anime onlys are not going to know how much of a GOAT that old man is but it is what it is hopefully we get more of him before the season ends. I dont know why the anime changes up lines and stuff but Hananoi was supposed to say What do I have to do to make this stop hurting? not What do i have to do to get a clear head? Thats two different lines with two different meanings lol. Hananoi is like a wounded kitten with a thorn in its paw. You have to earn trust first before he will allow you to pull out the thorn which is why in my opinion being confrontational will not help. It will just make him feel cornered. Next week is the last of this and I cant wait but I dont want it to end all at the same time.

I really don't understand what the huge deal is about someone being in the same middle school as someone. I went to the same elementary school as a LOT of my Jr High classmates and nobody ever went out of their way to announce that I went to YYY Elementary with Joe, Bob, Susan, and Sally. Who cares? Something like that shouldn't be heard from somebody else? WTF? Yao doesn't know that Hananoi walked past the classroom after the hair cutting happened, only that they're in the same yearbook, so it isn't that. "You went to the same middle school as I did and you didn't tell me? That's it. We're done. I never want to see your face again." Give me a break. This drama is the shallowest in the entire anime, which I otherwise really like. (I have to use Elementary because my town had one Jr High and one Sr High, except for some Catholic families who sent their kids to Mater Dei HS over in Evansville.)

It actually is a big deal but this anime is not making it melodramatic as you're suggesting - such as having Hotaru break up with Hananoi over it or anything. What Yao is saying is valid because Hananoi has deliberately hid the fact that he went to her elementary school. It would be different if it never came up in conversation or Hananoi just forgot to tell her and he tells her later. However, Hananoi hasnt simply just not told her but in this case he has changed conversations when the yearbook gets brought up and was asked directly if they knew each other from before and what did he do evade the question. Imagine being Hotaru and hearing from Yao well you know your boyfriend went to the same elementary school as us and I asked him about it before and he lied about it and is super sus when it comes to the subject matter. Would you not feel uncomfortable thinking that if he wont just simply say yeah I went to your school that he has something to hide and was being deceptive because from your perspective we just met each other two months ago and now you're hearing that he might have gone to the same school as me and known things about me from beforehand and is just pretending not to know these things Its a matter of communication and intent this is why its a big deal and its important that Hananoi and Hotaru reach a point where the big secrets they have can be out in the open and talked about. I dont know if this clarifies anything but thats my thought on it.

From Yao's perspective it's less about them going to the same middle school and more about Hananoi hiding things from Hotaru. Especially since Yao doesn't seem to know about the hair cutting thing or that it was because of him. So he thinks it's odd that they've brought up the past before but Hananoi has never told Hotaru and clearly it must be something important to Hananoi for him to be this resistant about saying anything to Hotaru. Because if it wasn't a big deal then surely Hananoi would have told Hotaru by now. We know Hotaru's character so she probably wouldn't be upset about it but Hananoi has internalized these feelings of low self-worth and fear of abandonment along with whatever guilt he seems to have so he struggles to open up about it. It may seem trivial on the surface but for someone like Hananoi it's a big deal, especially since he kinda places Hotaru on a pedestal and doesn't want to lose her.
