It's so funny. Back in the day knives were regarded for the high carbon content. My dad would say like the old case double x. Brass slated. That is the metal part that separates the 2 blades. Lol. I'm 62. Times have changed. But have they changed for the better?

Dude, bad plunge grinds literally grind my gears. I don’t understand why some companies refuse to make it more of a priority. There are some that do a very good job though.

Can't you just reposition the blade so that the stone is parallel with the plunge line, then sharpen the last bit with no smile?
@NeevesKnives10 сағат бұрын
In some cases but no not usually because the end of the actual edge is thicker, which means when you sharpen that area the bevel is larger than the rest, so in order to hit apex it would take alot more steel removal to hit

What stones would you recommend for someone like me that sharpens a lot of D2, Nitro-V and some M390 and CPM-154? I want to be able to get a mirror polish on some knives and just a using edge on some of my outdoor knives. I already have stroppy stuff but I am using some cheap aliexpress sharpener with the included stones and want to upgrade to a hapstone rs. Any advice is wecome

@currywurst271 if you want a polish then you need spend a bit if you are wanting diamond which is what I'd recommend, which you would need for steels like m390, the rest you mentioned you don't but I'd still recommend, watch my beginners tutorial for freehand, start there a polish won't matter unless you can get good results with those, unless you get a fixed system in that case watch my top 5 best sharpeners fixed angle. Work sharp has a really good new system dropping on the 20th with everything you want

"what happens when this gets in the hand of someone who uses it?" - Neeves Knives 2025 I also wonder about the day someone actually uses one of these knives 😂

The detent sounds lame? Does it have any detent?

These milled clips are killing the knife for me. Why arent the expensive knives getting deep carry clips.
@attic429 сағат бұрын
I'm with you. Titanium deep carry clips are a thing. And I don't understand why they aren't seen on the majority of titanium knives. What the heck?

Holy crap that's dull AF! I cringed when you dragged your hand all over the edge for a second then I was outraged...lol. how did it make it out the door? Is it a prototype? Did I miss that part?
@NeevesKnives9 сағат бұрын
No i think it's just a super high edge angle

Looks flashy but it’s missing some soul imo. Haven’t handled it so I can’t speak to build quality but the acoustics and the way it’s closing/opening makes it seem as if the detent is almost non existent. Honestly the design seems boring.
