These type of exercises are like shoulder workouts. I hate doing them because I suck at them, but that just tells me that I need to do them more. I always catch myself doing a few minutes then thinking I've got it and moving on, but getting it right one time doesn't equal "i got this"

You don't need shoulder exercises to play guitar, it's all in the hands.

Great one… would like more such lessons, especially playing both Rhythm and lead alternatively for say 2 measures each…. 😊

Loving the content as always Andrew! A quick video idea for you, i think you would nail, is going through a challenging guitar song and explaining how the different music theory concepts apply to how the song was made or can be understood. As a way to see how it all can come together, when you are at given level. Personally i think it would be very illustrative to show off the tools you've given us, and to see how they are used to make music. A song thats challenging but not overly so, for a video like this would be something like; khruangbin - August 10 or Arc de Soleil - Sahara cowboy. Just an idea and keep up the great work!

Great lesson! In a future video, could you show how to lock in with the metronome. I understand one click in relation to quarter notes. I get lost with the other subdivisions. Thanks!

Great video, as usual...does it make sense to practice putting accent on 2nd or 3rd in triplet, instead of always 1st note?

Guitar is my passion , generally rock music , but since i'm lefty i understand decade ago i never be lead guitarist . My wish is to perfect and learn enough to become rhythm player of this magnificent instrument . Have a lot of songs in my head . Thanx Andrew .
@sk_lxr292011 ай бұрын
just because you play with your left hand doesn't mean you can't play the lead parts. it's the same thing, just mirrored, you just gotta get used to your instrument and practice a lot. it's entirely possible for you to become a lead guitarist, just keep going at it
@LukasHaydenOfficial10 ай бұрын
Greatest guitar players of all time were lefty: Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Dick Dale, Doyle Bramhall,Eric gales, ect.

Alek, being lefty change nothing about being a good lead guitarist or not. I assure you, it change nothing at all… keep up the work you want to achieve!🙂

He's saying since he's left handed but practiced to playing with a right handed guitar, he doesn't progress as fast. I get you man, I'm left handed as well but I'm playing on a lefty strat. Keep practicing
