Wonderful video, as always. I remember watching your videos a couple of years ago and how I wanted to practice blacksmithing. Today I have a shop-made forge and anvil - and I do enjoy my first steps into this wonderful world. Thank you for all the wonderful explanations! I put these to good use!!!

Showing the short ground cross pein spreading the metal, all I could think was - "That is awesome!"

You just made me so much better at Blacksmithing with this video alone. Thank you. I just came in from the forge applying these techniques. I cant wait to go at it again tomorrow morning. ( Wish I lived on a farm and not in Silicone Valley California

I like re-forging any sort of hammer. Though, I don't think the whole fairly sized anvil thing really matters. I was able to forge mine into the shape of a diagonal pein hammer on a 53 lb Fisher-Norris anvil. Though, if that's a "Fairly sized anvil" that's awesome.

IMHO if you got the job done, then it's fairly sized enough. Nuttin gets broke and project gets complete, it was successful. Fishers are pretty nice Anvil. Though some will shun because it is steel faced cast iron. Not me. I've a Vulcan cast iron Anvil, w a thin steel face. It works better than I do LoL Crawford out 🙏🔥⚒️🧙🏼♂️

@@dragonstonegemironworkscra4740 I like fishers better than vulcans, sorry I turn my nose up at those.

Do you stick primarily to forging only with hammer and anvil, or do you also use some form of power hammer?
@df-intheshop3303 жыл бұрын
I don't have a power hammer but even if i did I would demonstrate how to do it with a hand hammer because that is how everyone starts off.
