You can actually get 8 more batteries. I just tried to see how far I would get with full batteries and the zonaite armor. From the shrine just northwest of the wind temple, one full charge on the hover bike (2 fans and a stick) I went from that shrine to the temple on the great sky island, one more from there to the temple to the sky island just above eventide island. I used the armor the whole way only adjusting slightly so I didn't run into anything (rito phenomenon was the only thing I had to navigate around is all I'll say, so I don't spoil anything for newer players)

A few things. 1. The Zonaite walls, well any breakable wall really (with one exception) will not respawn. The walls are finite, but the ore deposits do come back over time. 2. Others pointed this out but I'll mention that batteries max out at 16, not 8. Once you increase past 8 the other batteries will change to blue. 3. There's a couple other uses for Zonaite. Without spoilers, you will be able to eventually trade Zonaite for Ancient Blades (which give weapons and arrows the Ancient Arrow effect from BOTW which deletes pretty much most enemies), or the more powerful Construct and Zonai weapons. Furthermore, some outfits require Zonaite and Large Zonaite to upgrade, so don't spend all of it at once. 4. Zonai charges are very common. I would actually just recommend defeating any of the normal constructs you come across as I had over 300 on me at the end of the game. 5. The large ones of course are more useful imo for actually using since they fully recharge your batteries in addition to the normal infinite usage. 6. The Zonai armor set reduces the energy usage of zonai devices and the set bonus speeds up the recharge speed of the batteries. 7.. Lastly, the more batteries you have, the quicker the recharge. Because it takes a set amount of time to go from 0 to max, by increasing the battery amount you have will lead to it charging that amount just a bit quicker. This leads to less waiting. The Zonai armor set bonus reduces the charge time as well, making it go even quicker.

A good tip is to take a picture of the Zonaite Deposit rock with your camera...then go into your Hyrule Compendium and target the Zonaite Deposit with your Sensor......makes things so much easier...then when you find a cluster of rocks mark it on your map for later...

Whenever you find a vendor that sells you crystallized charges for zonaite in the depths, you should climb on top of the furnace he shovels zonaite to, there will be 2 to 3 crystals on top of it.

pro tip: if you want to make a bonfire to sleep to respawn the crystalised charges, instead of lighting the wood with a fire weapon or flint, just throw the wood into the lava flowing out of the furnace. it will catch fire, and you can sleep by it even though it's literally on the lava drain thing Edit: additional note. This trick doesn’t only works if enough game time passes. Example, if it’s 4am in game and you sleep “until morning”, that’s only one hour of game time passed because in Hyrule apparently 5am is normal wake up time (freaking mad Hyruleans waking up at an ungodly time…). In this instance you would want to sleep until night, else the charges will not respawn. I found this out the first time I tried and I assumed the devs must have patched it- don’t worry, they haven’t. Just make sure you sleep for the longest time possible based on current time in game!

Honestly, the most efficient way to get Crystalized Charges is going to be once you've explored & lit up the majority of the Depths & have marked the locations of as many Minibosses as you can, and to simply farm as many of the Minibosses as you can each Blood Moon, as each one drops a VERY nice Large Crystalized Charge worth 20 of the smaller ones! This is probably the fastest way to max out your battery, not to mention all the other goodies you get from farming these Minibosses including stong fuse items.

​@@bellamin4549 i may be a bit late to this but Colgera is the best boss to grind against, 6ish arrows needed to kill Colgera no matter what bow or damage needed just break the ice and then shoot his pinkish ice core and be done and get your 100 crystals.

You can also find a few crystalized charges on the top of the smoke stacks mine smelting furnace, way up on the metal grate. Sometimes a few random chunks of zonaite on the way up also.

I have four energy wells thanks to this video!!! Took two and 1/2 days. I have also found the miners suit (game changer) and have it upgraded to three. I love it as I can't keep bows.. lol. I do throw a few of those light flowers, but I prefer the suit. In the lower level, there are some huge animals that are very slow and they guard a mound of Zs... I just stay behind them and grab them all. Since there are so many bombs down in the lower level, I stock up and get on some high vantage point and bomb all those dudes and take their goods. Its great fun for a 66 year old woman. Since I have four energy wells now, I am going to make a flying machine and get to the top of hyrule castle and grab those bows. After I get the bows, I'll try to get the sensor. I have yet to complete the four main quests. Since I have played botw, I have concentrated on shrines and weapons while playing totk. Something I am also doing, as soon as I find a shrine OR a lightroot, I tag it in either the lower level for a lightroot or the regular level for a shrine location.

Honestly, all you have to do to get the Crystalized Charges to respawn is to simply teleport away, sit/rest somewhere for a day & then teleport back. This works though too aka what's shown in the video & is quite fast/handy! Thanks for the tip.

Do the side quest with Master Kohga. Each time you beat him you get a Huge Crystalized Zonai Charge which is enough for one single zonai energy cells. All together you should get 1.5 - 2 Full batteries if you defeat him all of the possible times. Yiga Camps also give 20 Crystalized Charges when you beat the Yiga member with the red glow as do most of the abandoned mines you find along the way in chests.

Slight correction. Ore actually does NOT respawn from a Blood Moon. Blood Moons do not affect it whatsoever. They respawn randomly based on the same way consumables respawn in the overworld, aka the 1% chance to respawn every minute.

make a rouute of bosses of the underground and kill then every blood moon, every boss drops 20 crystalized charges everytime, also zonaites and large zonaites should be used for altobuild and upgrades (more than 300 large zonaites for armors), stock up on them instead of farming this way, farming bosses gives you crystalized easiser and faster and will not force you to farm zonaites later

I never really traded Zonaite for Zonai Charges. I might have done it at first because I didn't know what they are. I also didn't realize that you could upgrade your battery until much later. I had a lot of ore to trade in and got a big upgrade. I thought the forge restocks every blood moon. I also didn't realize that Lookout Landing had a refinery until much later.

If anyone wants a ridiculously OP tip that’s not even a glitch more like a Nintendo oversight you can FULLY recharge all of your battery by entering any cutscene. What makes it OP is cooking counts as a cutscene so you can attach a cooking pot to any machine and cook an apple for a full recharge. No version yet has patched that afaik, I could see Nintendo not patching it ever since not technically a glitch

8 green, 8 blue, total of 16. After that you can use charges to buy any zonaite device you've gotten before in capsule form. Since you can't get them from dispensers, I highly recommend using them on large batteries.

I prefer trading Large Zonaite for Huge Crystallized Charges. The amount of time you save by just using 3 Large Zonaite instead of 30 regular ones is extremely underrated. On top of being an invaluable timesaver, this also allows you to strictly focus on using regular Zonaite for Autobuild constructs which means you can save more and build up a reserve. I keep my buffer zone at 500 Zonaite now.

If you wanna max the batteries to get 16 by only using large Zonaite, you'll need 675 of them. Use large Zonaite instead of the small ones, save those for autobuild.

You did not max your battery, Once you have 8 Green batteries the guy literally says come back, when you provide him with 100 more charges your first battery cell turns blue, making it a double cell. Once all cells are blue you have 16 total batteries. You aren't the first person to be confused by this and I don't get it, the guy literally says your not done. Edit: Also a note you will know when you are done because the energy well vendor turns into a zonai device vendor in which you can buy zonai devices for charges to avoid the gacha machines.

After getting the initial 7 green batteries the Construct does not explicitly say to come back because you need more upgrades. It just says "I would enjoy further visits from you". So I can understand why most people may not take that as a direct indication the batteries still need more upgrades lol. The video was primarily meant to demonstrate where to farm/how to get materials, and how the upgrading process works. Having said that: I will make a quick follow-up video on this! 🙂
