i would recommend watching the 2023 guide by teanosuga. it’s a lot longer but it’s a lot better. this one contains a lot of inside jokes that people won’t get if they haven’t really gotten too deep into stray kids yet. also felix wasn’t street casted. hyunjin was. hyunjin knew nothing about dancing or singing but because he is so handsome, he was casted. felix always wanted to be a performer so he came to korea when he was 17. also the weaknesses for each of the members are more inside jokes within the fandom so that’s probably why it doesn’t make sense. this guide is good but it’s definitely not the best.

The 2023 Stray Kids Ultimate Guide by TeaNoSuga is amazing, if you want a super detailed guide for them. I have recommended her 2022 guide for a long time, but the new guide outdid it. It is an hour and a half long... but it goes by so fast. It goes into better detail and really shows how each of the guys shine.

I just want to say seugmin didnt marry or divorce anyone it's hard to explain, but it's just a meme kind of thing that stays know , seugmin and lee know ( another stray kids member ) they where doing this skit thing where they did some acting like a play and seugmin and Lee know where a couple in the skit and theres a joke saying they got a divorce because of there bickering and because people joked that han was calling lee know baby , so there another joke where seugmin and han swapped partners, because han and hyunjin where meant to be a couple and lee know and seugmin where meant to be a couple but han kept calling lee know baby instead of hyunjin, so hyunjin was like are you cheating on me so then seugmin said something like why dont we partner up instead as a joke , so there was like some fake cheating going on and it's all became an inside kind of joke thing , and that's why people joke about seugmin and lee know getting a divorce and getting back together, but no of it is serious or real, it was just for this skit thing they where doing , it's hard to explain without you actually seeing the episode skit thing, but when you watch it you will understand what I'm on about and what that divorce thing was about on the stray kinds guide. But everyone had a role , han and hyunjin where the mum and dad , I.n and felix where the grandma and grandpa and seugmin was hans brother and lee know married hans brother , changbin and bangchan where han and hyunjin children and bangchan was the youngest and this is where another meme comes from where he says in five because in the skit thing he was playing as a toddler so that inside joke thing and changbin was a teenager I think. They might be someone who can explain this because I'm not very good at explaining things, and anyone pls correct me if i got anything wrong.

1st generation is the early 90s and early 2000s kpop groups like H.O.T, Shinhwa, etc. 2nd generation Kpop is kpop groups like BIGBANG, Girls Generation, T-ara, Shinee, etc. 3rd Generation Kpop is what youre familiar with, BTS, Blackpink, Mamamoo , Twice, etc. 4th generation kpop is right now like, Stray Kids, G-idle, Ateez, Itzy, etc.

K-pop places a lot of value in their idol's looks, so if a member fits the (albeit strict) beauty standards and is considered handsome or beautiful, they will be called a "visual". Visuals are usually very popular for their faces and are most often featured in adverts or fashion magazines. Hyunjin became a Versace ambassador and Felix a Louis Vuitton one.

I don't know how to describe the word visual that well, but I will try. So, the visual member from my understanding is the member who's got amazing looks. Hyunjin was literally scouted on the streets of Seoul by someone from JYP because if his looks. Hyunjin doesn't like to be known for his looks instead he likes to be recognized for his dancing skills. In the guide it says JYP cause that's the company they are under. Onto Felix. The way that I differentiate Felix from the rest of the group is by his stage presence. : THIS IS MY OPINION: Felix has one of the best stage presences in K-pop. If you watch some of their live performances, you can immediately tell which one is Felix just from the way he moves and looks on stage. Felix has one of the biggest dualities ever. Off stage he's silly and very loveable but on stage he's more serious and cool. Seungmin has a great voice when it comes to singing. He can hit a lot of the higher notes, but he loves I.N a lot because they are the two youngest members. The breath control, this man has when it comes to his singing is insane. I would recommend a different guide if you're getting into stray kids because as much as I love this guide you might not understand the inside jokes for the weaknesses. I loved this video and wanted to explain what visual, and some other things meant. I really hope this explains a bit more of what the guide was talking about.

So one cool thing about kpop groups is the idea of "lines". In many, if not most, there is a Rap Line, Dance Line, and Vocal Line. And while Rap and Vocal are official designations and don't overlap much, Dance Line is made up of Rap Line and Vocal Line members. Basically any subunit is called a "line" and can extend to other things like age. Some groups like Stray Kids have actually named their "lines" (as you can see by 3Racha, DanceRacha, and VocalRacha)

I think someone might have already explained this to you but basically Chan formed 3racha which was a predebut group (that now is in charge of the song production) Then he found other members and created the complete group. In kpop it has never happend that a trainee chose his own members for a group. The company trusted Chan and the moment he thought the group was ready to debut they all participated to this survival show to prove their talent. After a few episodes two members were eliminated (Minho and Felix, but since the reasons for the elimination were stupid, and fans really wanted them in the group they managed to comeback and debut)

8:02 There are allot of grammar errors in the text because majority of fans that make these fan-made guides are foreigners that don’t know much english. For exampleBANG CHAN aka CHRISTOPHER “CHAN” BANG …. there is no letter “H” in BANG and I don’t know why there would be two “H”s in CHAN (makes no sense). *MAYBE ITS JUST ME BUT DO ALLOT OF PROOF-READING, IT SOMETIMES KICKS IN* 😅

It's not a typo, Chan spelled it like that when he was talking about having to write out his full name when signing for things and stuff. His sister Hannah spells her name "Hannah Bahng" and even named her entertainment company "Bahng Entertainment". So his legal name is likely spelled "Christopher Chahn Bahng" and his stage name is "Bang Chan". That might sound weird, but it's likely to clarify the pronunciation. In Korean, the letter for "a" (ㅏ) only makes one sound, a soft "ah" sound like in the word "father" and not a hard "a" sound like in "atypical". So technically, "Bang" as in Chan's last name is not actually pronounced like the word "bang" in English. However, sometimes Chan will pronounce it like that when talking English, likely because he grew up in Australia around people who didn't speak Korean that pronounced it that way.
