It's not legal to push water onto another property - "In the UK, it is generally not legal to deliberately direct drainage from your property onto your neighbor's land, especially if it causes damage or inconvenience, as the principle is to manage water drainage in a reasonable way that doesn't harm neighboring properties; this falls under the "Flood and Water Management Act 2010" legislation".

The boards are a good idea even if they might give in to the weather at some time. When I did my garden last year it spread my weight without killing the grass with heel divots whilst doing some serious digging. They also served as a place to spade mix mortar/concrete for sleeper bedding. also good for access to bedding and borders whilst weather is rubbish.

@Stormin_Mike exactly dont want thick pieces as too heavy to move but if its a long job might be worthwhile but for this job the 5mm plywood was ideal

Great to see you back Dan! And loving the instrumental making a comeback in your videos, wasn’t too sure about the full songs last year. Never looked up this kind of work before but I was assuming you’d drill some holes in the pipe so water would drip into the pipe. Would that make drainage too fast and risk drying out the lawn?
