Hello! All of the mods I use in this series are linked in the video description. This includes More Line Colors, which isn't actually fully compatible with this version of Transport Fever 2, and is the source of some of the weird visual bugs you'll see in this video, and some of the future episodes. I'll likely turn the mod off in Part 6 of the series. :)

Hey Dylan, the rate is the number you want to be matching with the demand in the towns. So a 20 demand needs a 20 rate delivery of the good. If the material:good is 2:1 ratio, then you need 40 rate on the material delivery to factory to make it efficient. As the towns grow the rates will alter, so you can expand accordingly. Hope this helps :)

Great to see you back in Transport Fever 2 (and Cities: Skylines too) :) As for the game speed, I think half should be fine. Also, the More Line Colors mod is apparently broken, since now you can choose custom colors by CTRL+clicking on a color on the bottom row.

A little south of Penzance you do have an oil refinery. It is on the other side of the mountain from the plastic plant. That may be a good chain to get going and perhaps throw it on a plane when they are available.

Don't forget to place your Head Quarters! You could even place it next to one of your first truck yards or garage so you always remember where you started.

Like the series start-off. Might I suggest using cargo trains and possibly long distance passenger trains? Ive made a passenger train route to two cities not connected directly with roads and cities where they are too far from each other and a lot of people opt for these trains. Cargo trains also load up fully and give you a lot of money based on distance and how much cargo you supply them with. Just some food for thought

Hoddesdon (pronounced Ho-dss-dn locally) is a ten minute drive from me. My brother used to live there too. Quite funny to see it as one of the place names in TF2.

10:45 the bottom cargo stop is not connected to the grain, regarding the goods, when you have enough money, have a train cargo station (2 platform) then have two separate train lines to go to the two places that want goods

In clithroe, you can easily set a fuel line and quarter speed

useless tip; You can just bulldoze a cargo station and place a new one. the line will figure out what you did and change stations to the new one :)

Variable speed, Normal till 1900. It will get you through the slowest progression period of the game the quickest. From 1900-1950 half Steam is great, but tech progression is still slow so you'll want to slow down enough to enjoy steam era but not too much that you feel bogged down. From 1950-Present day one quarter speed. There are so many techs that come out here that it can be hard to keep up with also its just great to slow down the game so that it feels contemporary. Present onwards normal speed. Since all the techs have been unlocked there really isn't a need to keep it slow. And as always, you can just slow down to enjoy a particular era more or speed up to get through eras you don't like.

Slower speeds usually means you are going to get to a non-playable state because of too much stuff in the map long before the modern era (like 1930-1960 I think) So I prefer normal speed, but it depends on the era you think you'd want/be okay with ending the series at Also, before starting a new line next episode (assuming you did not record a few ahead), please balance the rates on the ones you have so you won't run out of money

I like to play with the date simulator at 1/4 th speed so I can build a little and then ride the trains for a few minutes. I never run out of things to do as the new vehicles still show up at the right times. It depends on how you like to play.

There is a much more efficient way to place road depots that allows vehicles to go in one way and out another without circling around. Makes a huge difference later in the game

How do you do that?

@@honeybadger9425 place the depot horizontal to the road instead of connecting it to the road. Then delete the entrance and replace it with a one way entrance, then on the other side place a one way exit. Connect each to the main road and there ya go. Just make sure when they enter the dropoff/pick up spot is on the right now the left

Be careful with Clitheroe, I have family there. It is pronounced Cli-the-row. You nee to be careful with some other English place names such as Scunthorp and Cockermouth.
