I think you're making exactly the content I wanted to see when I was learning dude. You're giving me a beat pad to make any beat at all vs a couple pages of music theory that require context and application within the universe of music theory. Though it may be useful to some people, the notes that are being labelled in that grey box, that's exactly the typa pocket protector shit I don't wanna get involved in (for better or worse I'm hard to love). THANK YOU BRO please keep giving wisdom. This is gold, you could sell a course like this and it would be my number one recommendation. I can't stop gassing you up dawg this just makes me so excited.

"...the impression that It's moving but at the same time it's being sustained..." (quoted correctly, I hope so). Interestingly, first time around, and first time hearing you say this it did not occur to me that "moving" is in time, thus should relate to the rhythm. Awesome If find just the word "at the same time" brought up, In fact, in music there might be some "politics" "of dancing" (quote from "Depeche" mode), which I now understand as pondering without doing. Same note -- by the way, first time I come across that term "common note", you should be a genius if it's only you who found that term "alone", trying to be witty... - Same note thus is "common" but may be equivalent to a pause, and even relate to the off beat or the ghost note (the rhythm moves on with ghost notes, you enabled me to watch out for the off beat and the pauses. Interestingly, you say that "common note" is a technique. I shall see you channel about the way all this relates to melody. Thank you for your very good teaching.

@@RogerSimon I did weigh in. Thank you so much for replying, I understand it's not AI that react, please accept my thanks for replying. Ref. to "it doesn't matter" "pick a note" - makes me think a lot. "Insight" might not exist in music, as creating music - which is music - seem some building up of ideas. I think the word "insight" might be used referring to the audience, the listener. Again, very good point you were making, to me, again, thank you, like in church, they say: say one word and my soul will be healed. God bless you!😊 Seriously, I always thought improvisation is about correcting errors in a hurry so they do not really show, my insight I am able to take away is that this approach of mine might be some "slurring of the speech" only. You show me the importance of "ponderousity" (sorry for being bubbly, please apologize and never mind my talking, hope you are amused: as a kid quite a few times I watched that shooting guns serial named "Bonanza", the location named "Ponderosa" - looks like a Bonanza to me your place ...) i.e. it's about avoiding mistakes when you must not select the wrong possibility. In other words, to strictly avoid the wrong is different from choosing simply the best. Which gives me some new thought: any chord on a common note might be an offer to that note to progress into it, maybe any chord forbids many third notes. Simply said: if you opt for one chord, you must take out at least two notes that the opted for chord includes. Else you would not follow its lead - however, it's an offer - you might refuse. This might explain the importance of the "orchestral maneuvers in the dark", the music does chords as good offers, maybe in pauses of the melody, but the melody turns away, and may get back later. I wonder if you are on the edge of composing songs or music or do that too and shall look around, 'cauze "common note" has a lot to it. I think a common note must be defined for the other chord to relate to. Two definitions seem to meet. BTW I wonder if it's always the highest note that is the common. Awesome stuff you do. Cheers!
