Truly appreciate his passion. His passion in the Milky Way, the documentation of it, and his fight against light pollution was evident throughout the video. His level of passion is one that many can only dream of having.

I agree with you that SG will only get brighter and not darker!

Amazing video. As a filmmaker myself, I appreciate all the edits, matched cuts and sound design. Great job Jeremie and OGS! Only took my first milky way shot in Australia last year. Fantastic experience I will never get. But Justin here is inspiring me to try to take the milky way in Singapore too! 🌌

I have seen the milky way in Austria near the alps. I think its an amazing to see this. Maybe Sg should have a "switch off the lights" one day a year.

Just watched your short documentary and I must say that I share the same sentiments as you. I have always appreciated the vast universe above us and have recently also started trying to go out on late night astrophotography shots, only with my phone now though. As I'm new to this scene, usually my first few issues would be finding a nice dark spot to catch the stars and also that sometimes the weather might not permit it too. I hope someday I will also be able to catch my very own first shot of the milky way from here in SG but I look forward very much to this weekend where there will be a spectacular lights show put up for us from the Perseids Meteor Shower.

10 years ago, I can still see some stars when I out in my garden at night. Nowadays, only the moon is visible.

We use to see many stars 50 plus years ago. My mother used to show me while we lie down on the grass. Then we also can see shooting stars. Now hardly.

The first time i saw the milky way in the Philippines, i was so excited! Being born and raise here in SG, we really don’t get to see it.

Dear Singapore government : Why NOT make just ONE NIGHT maybe 1 to 2hrs only, a deliberate total blackout ( except hospitals and few places only ) BUT inform the whole Singaporean first in advance about this and the EXACT TIME too, so that people will be well prepared for this. Please BRING BACK our night STARS and galaxies, even once a year only, and just 1 or 2 hours only will be FANTASTIC ENOUGH for us !

@ekming751 Жыл бұрын
Mersing is not like last time, you can still see the Milky Way but it isn’t like last time 2003. When you can really see clearly billions of stars and the dark band of the Milky Way. The light pollution of the town has increased dramatically.
