A single pack. $36 a card. Lots of redemptions. 22-23 Upper Deck SPx Box break and review.

Today is release day of 22-23 SPx hockey from Upper Deck, featuring a format change from 4 cards per box in previous years to 5 cards. Also changing, autographs are now guranteed, although they certainly arn't guaranteed to be good. With a price of $180 cad it's dangerously close to Stature's release price. Unfortunately SPx isn't as good as stature and shouldn't try to command that price. I have quite the history with SPx, including one of my all time best pulls from a box of 20-21, and one of my worst ever boxes from 21-22. I enjoyed this review but it's time to bring on 23-24.

I ordered chinese food yesterday, cost me 41$, there was so much food that it made me 3 meals, it's so rare in this day and age that something makes you go ''ok yeah that makes sense'' value wise, what was i gonna comment? i forgot, anyway it was delicious. Nice Guhle and good job on dodging the rat this time

I hit the rats best buddy instead. Even that's too close to a Marchand for my liking. Speaking of food, where I live vermacelli noodle bowls are a big thing. $8 bucks for a bowl and it's easy two meals!

I have been watching a bunch of breaks to and it seems like about 1 box per case has the chance to return sticker price. And thats if you are lucky with the case hit.

Seems like that's the case for almost every "premium" set these days. I'm fairly confident the Tkachuk auto patch I pulled from one of my Ultimate boxes was a case hit and it didn't pay for the box.
