These cards are really meant for kids, who would probably think the mascot autos are cool. As an adult though, definitely stupid.

I used to collect sets when I was a kid but now I mostly hunt for hits & maybe the odd PC card. Now I'm thinking of only going after singles on ebay/COMC as prices are getting insane cuz like you said no guaranteed autos or even memorabilia. UD is smoking some good drugs if they think this business model is going to last long term. Ya I'm going to run out my 23-24 pre-orders in hopes to pull a nice Bedard but after that - DONE buying new product. Tortorella is a decent coach. His problem is he doesn't know how to pick his battles & when he does he snaps hard.

It's really not worth buying and ripping packs. You're definitely better off buying single cards online. It's really damn shame to collect that way, though. Ripping packs used to ge fun when I was kid. As adult its still fun till it's over, and you realize you just threw most of your hard earned money away. I've never tried to profit from sports cards, but when you pay a ridiculous amount of money, it would at least be nice to know you either break even or came out on top.

I like to wait till foolish people break these. Then I buy the cards off them for $5-$30. But they had the fun of gambling the money away. So a win win.

Oh wow. I hope to pick up some of this, but I have some catching up to do on the previous releases. Nice Langer is back. I PC him. UD has head scratchers in every set based on the fact they signed with them before, but they may have done nothing in years I might have to go for the E-pack cards when they hit COMC.

All of that is packaging and still the worst corner Ive ever seen oulled out of a pack. I cringe everytime somebody breaks one of these 600-1000 dollar boxes and have to push down on the cards to pull them out. Ughhhh These cards should all come pre sealed in heavy cases. Its insane you need to press down on them to get them out. It's insane you need to even handle the card at all given the cost/card. Its supposed to be an elite product but it comes in the packaging of a videogame.

I was lucky enough to pull two YG in retail. Both have a small dark dot on the top edge, in an identical location. Not on the surface, the actual edge. This seems like an unlikely coincidence to get two and they both have this. Anyone else see this?

Bought the entire young guns set with bedard for just over 650. Upper deck is ruining the hobby of opening wax. 50 young guns for the price of 2 boxes why even open or buy them

I'm just buying the Bedard. His Young Guns is $400 give or take a few bucks. Why would I spend well over $300 for the box ?????? You could open three or more boxes and not pull a single Bedard. Price gouging !!!

That is absolutely unacceptable. $1200 for this steaming pile of triceratops dung stacked to the roof. Base cards in a $1200 big? If they were 24k gold plated that may be ok but that is just ridiculous. Manufactured patches? Wow UD should be ashamed, but of course they are incapable.

Nice video and keep it going! Oh and double check the back off the 51’s. The Hextall was a retro, but some are Bubble Gum Parkie’s etc, double check the backs 👍🏼.

You're right. My local LCS's will only do lower prices on black Friday and boxing day. The one owner will just open all the boxes himself instead of clearing them out. Pretty much can only find deals on 401, Miraj or Zephyr.
