It's called a zeppelin knot because it was used to join zeppelin mooring lines to ground anchor lines. The knot can be undone easily no matter how much tension it was subjected to.

This is a Zeppelin bend, not as strong as double fisherman (the ultimate) but can be untied more easily. Double fisherman when locked up is pretty much a weld.

Do two loops of the same chirality and you get a Hunter's Bend, which is pretty much interchangeable, but marginally easier to tie.
