He gave an interview after that clip was aired and he has since found out, who Jin was and his business went up! He also hang up the picture of Jin and him. His bar is basically a pilgrimage stop for (adult) army’s now😂! Man I love army.

Once you get to the Love Yourself era and onwards, i think it would be worth it to watch the original videos of these different show appearances. Because even if there's hosts we don't trust now, they're still worth it to watch for the guys in my opinion. They did many segments surprising ARMY, playing games and the interviews & performances are definitely worth watching. I had many fond memories looking forward to these appearances back then because they were so new and unpredictable.

But that's what Graham does he gets the celeb's to engage with each other, that is the point of his show and the reason he has so many guests who want to go onto his show. Also he allows 'Drink' in the 'Green Room' so often the guest are far more relaxed so have a great laugh.

I was so close to sleeping but when I see tribe loui and boracity in one video I need to watch it, so you made me get out of bed at 3: 30 (now 4: 30 lmao). Enjoyable as always, I love bora's serious videos but the ones where she just throws some shade for the fun of it are hilarious, and watching them with you is such a vibe. I can't wait for the wings reaction, it happens almost every day now that I'm just casually listening to BTS and my head just tells me "loui is gonna love this one" I CAN'T WAIT (but take your time) Also since you brought it up, I think you would be pretty as a girl, since you already look nice. My first impression of you when I first found you was that you have a very kind looking face, and from what I've seen I really like your style overall. It's clear from your other videos you have your doubts about yourself, but if the you we see in these videos are the real you then you have nothing to worry about, you come across as a kind person, and it's clear you're always trying to be a better person. I was thinking about this the other day after your hyyh pt3 video but I can't comment on patreon so I'll say it here. "The key to one's charm is kindness" and from what I can see you have that down :] (I stole than quote from a show but I like it so sue me) Anyway you're doing great, the fact that you can bring this much joy to a random stranger on the other side of the earth like me is really incredible, and 30k people seem to feel the same way, so I'd say you're on the right track

I have to disagree with Boracity about the "15 yr olds" joke. It was extremely terrible wording but no where did he say ALL ARMY were 15. I took it to mean that it made young people, aka "15 yr olds" want to be there. It was blown way out of proportion. There can be a fine line between comedy and insult.
@ajlee2168
@ajlee2168 6 ай бұрын
jokes like those imply exactly that. they dont need to specifically say "all of their fans are 15yo girls" for that exact message to get across. its a stereotype for any boyband, their fans always have been and will get generalized as being made of teen girls, and implying that that itself is funny. the teen fans are the punchline. so no matter how it was worded, in the context of the reputation of boybands, the ongoing ridicule towards female teen fans and the lingering disrespect bts faces wherever they go, i rolled my eyes and wished hed just keep his mouth shut. i do agree that it was blown out of proportion to an extent. still, the frustration and annoyance is completely justified imo.

I have to say, I never trusted James Corden since the beginning, because I'm from the UK and his reputation over here was bad before he left for the states. He was known for being a womanizer, low-key misogynistic, and generally making cheap, prejudiced jokes. Then he moved to the US, somehow got this huge late night gig (I still don't understand that) and he rebranded as this kind of 'wholesome' figure. There was also some weird stuff where he was caught schmoozing with members of the Trump cabinet at a party back in 2016. He generally just seems like a very shallow, fake person who will say anything to be popular with his chosen audience (and I don't think he ever respected ARMY enough for us to be his 'chosen audience'). On the other hand I feel like Jimmy Fallon is the only host to actually give Bangtan the coverage they deserve, he earned his love from ARMY!! When I think about BTS Week it's kind of reassuring like "ok they actually did 'make it' in the US, they actually did get some decent coverage befitting one of the biggest artists on the planet, their success was actually recognised somewhere, it's not just a weird collective dream only experienced by ARMY." I also think Stephen Colbert maybe has potential to do better in the future. His interviews were a little stiff and he didn't seem to know too much about them, but that was back in 2018, and he was respectful and put effort into their segments. He seems like an intelligent guy so I think if he actually got into their music and message he might be able to do a more in-depth interview in the future.

After James Corden problem, I totally lost my trust so I just don't really get excited about any host because I think there is no one in the industry genuine enough to do a little bit of research and get to know their music. I know Jimmy fallon is okay right now, but still I don't want to get dissapointed so I solely watched interviews and shows in support for my beloved BTS. As for the attendance awards, I am glad our fandom especially someone like Boracity with solid research speaks up about it and not taking bullshit. The fact that the awards had to change it last minute and delete the articles just shows and proves that it is true they are giving that award to that group because they are there.
@BansheePurple
@BansheePurple 7 ай бұрын
I love Boracity a lot. she has spilled a lot of facts! The attendance awards are really a mess and that time was.. even worse bc those awards didn't even tried to hide the corruption and the fact everything was already planned. Like we don't care if that group gets nominated but at least nominate them in the year they supposed to be nominated and not when they were clearly out of the eligibility period. It makes no sense and more when they get nominated to group of the year when they didn't released any music and promoted for 2 years except just like a week or 2 before the awards.. that was really fishy ngl. BTS won at the end but yes, it was definitely a last minute change and everyone noticed it when the media suddenly posted their prepared articles and headliners when the winner wasn't announced yet 💀 Crazy Anyways, now the AMAs and BBMAs created a kpop category as well and I'm still confused bc kpop is not a genre but a industry and no one know if it's about the language or nationality bc these awards keep contradicting themselves... it doesn't make sense and clearly creating this category is an opportunity to the awards to nominate them in that new category instead of the main ones that they deserved bc they have the numbers and everything. That's exactly what has happened with the latin music when some should really be nominated in the main ones too. Fo example, Seven ft. Latto was probably the song that was most robbed in nominations and just got nominated in best kpop .. like (?)

It was kind of karma though because BP's performance at the VMAs that night was a MESS. I think they really rely on the bells and whistles of Korean camera guys and music shows and their own production team and when you have to get up on a stage in the US where the onus is on the ARTIST to look good, they can't pull it off. We saw it with Stray Kids too. So BP went up there and gave a very obviously lip synced performance that was messy and low energy to a rather unenthusiastic crowd with a song that sounded...well, like a blackpink song...and no one bought it. I really think they put out as little music as possible because the more they try to show and prove, the more they reveal that they really don't have the passion, the talent, or the star power to compete. It's all media play, high budget MVs, branding, and fashion deals. The VMAs that night ended up being a big mistake for them and they were ripped up for it. Karma is an ARMY, as we like to say.

Ellen got cancelled, and I stopped watching her after this interview. Kimmel was awful, and BTS didn't go back . ARMY went on the attack with Kimmel. Not funny at all, just mean. Cordon meant he and his band love BTS. Army hit back hard about the 15 yr old comment. Cordon , I feel, used BTS for ratings, period. Jimmy Fallon also interviewed each member when released their solo. The scammys, what a joke that award show is. BTS is better than all of them, period. Makes me sick. many of these awards are also pay for play, or the artists PR rep throws cash into the ring. The grammys have used BTS for ratings twice, I hope they take Eminem's slim shady's advice and skip it. There are other artists who throw shade and do not attend these scamy award shows, like Bruno Mars, Eminem, BTS doesn't go to many of them esp in asia, and others. Big names who don't have to put up with the music industry nonsense. I think you tube should have their own award show, but then they even mess with view numbers of BTS. Here's the thing, BTS is so good, who could really beat them in any catagory? Best album, JK, Jimin, RM., could have all been up for best solo artist, no one could beat any of them, except maybe Bruno, they would have been happy no matter which of them one. BUT NOOOOO. I'm so sick of these dumb award shows. lets wipe the slate and start over.

what corden said about armys being 15 y.o. girls is actually not false. of course it's a gross generalization but the absolute majority of bts fans are women, and young women at that. in my opinion, we shouldn't spend our energy on challenging that because it's simply not helping anybody to point out male fans (they are many in numbers but still a tiny minority in percentage). when our responce to those who laughs at artists who mainly attract young women is that we actually have many older people and men in our ranks, we just solidify their belief that being loved by teenage girls is somehow less cool and substantial, which it isn't. so the problem with corden is not that he lied about how our fandom includes many teen girls or something, it's that he thought it was funny in the first place
@shockofthenew
@shockofthenew 7 ай бұрын
The thing I really disliked about his joke isn't that he said ARMY are 15 year old girls because sure, that isn't really accurate, but there's nothing wrong with teenage girls they're cool and should be respected! The problem is that the punchline was "this is the only time 15 year old girls around the world have dreamed of being in the place of [a politician]." His joke was literally "teenage girls are brainless and shallow and would never care about politics or dream of being politicians." Then he got 100s of really polite replies on twitter informing him why this was offensive... and of course he got a few angry ones too... but he refused to acknowledge any of those polite replies. Ignoring the situation and refusing to apologise made people more frustrated over time. Then he decided to confront BTS on air and tell them ARMY are toxic and we all told him to kill himself, when that's completely false. It's a sad truth that if you say something offensive to millions of people and refuse to apologise, you will probably get a few unstable people saying "kill yourself"... and that's awful, truly... and I really want ARMY to be better than the rest of the internet... but this isn't an 'ARMY problem' it's a problem everywhere. I do hate to think that anyone calling themselves ARMY would say something like that, but we can't control the actions of 10s of millions of individuals all over the world. Corden used his huge platform to create a toxic situation, made no attempt to engage with us as a community or apologise, and then used his platform again to paint us as practically being homicidal maniacs. I think the way he handled the situation was really unfair. At the end of the day I still think we should let it go, it doesn't help anything to attack him, but I do think the joke and his response afterwards were genuinely offensive. [Edit:] I definitely agree with you though, it's not great when we rush to correct people like "no there are tons of older ARMYs and male ARMYs so please take us seriously" because we should be standing up for the girls and young women in our ranks! We should be spreading the word that 15 year old girls are intelligent and have good taste, not treating them like something to be embarrassed about!!

I know I'm late to seeing this vid but things are going to be even harder as Billboard Music Awards in 2023 created 4 kpop categories and only nominated BTS members in these kpop categories so they don't have BTS in main categories anymore. The American Music Awards in 2022 created kpop category too, they still gave BTS best duo or group a main category win but many like myself think this will not be the case next time and like BBMA they will only nominate them in kpop categories. AMA didn't even have an awards show in 2023 it was first rumored to have moved to Spring 2024 but now many websites are saying November 2024 so they skipped an entire year (some think they will include that time into the nominations but they could skip it altogether no one knows for sure. And this is during the time both Like Crazy and Seven hit the BB100 doing very well on the charts even despite BB sabotage). So like Army have said from the beginning when VMA first created the Kpop category in 2019 and excluded BTS this is what the American Awards shows plans are. They do not want BTS competing with western artists anymore. I personally believe it's possible they created these categories with the initial intent of keeping BTS out #1 and driving up engagement/views from other kpop fans (thinking all groups are interchangeable) #2. It's also very possible they are doing so hoping these other kpop groups or companies will play the western music industries game and strike deals paying them for awards or airplay like other western artists labels do. There are many companies that play the corrupt games in the Korean music market it's not a stretch to think they are desperate enough for western recognition that they would join the western industry tactics as well. If they don't prove fruitful or get a profit out of these other groups while BTS are away they can always get rid of the Kpop categories, they created them and they can take them away. I also believe this is something these shows have thought about while BTS are away in the military as strategy to keep them out of the main categories: Step 1. create kpop categories, Step 2. Only nominate BTS & it's members in Kpop, Step 3. If we don't benefit from other desperate kpop companies enough delete the Kpop categories completely (with the goal of still not nominating BTS or it's members in main categories). AMA is the last hold out, the last American Awards Show with at least allowing BTS to be nominated in main categories I'm really not confident after what Billboard just pulled. I really hope that I'm wrong and that they still have the guts to let BTS and it's members be nominated in main categories but it's not looking good. They are trying to shut us out completely and I don't think most people knew how corrupt & petty the American music industry was until becoming army. Some may have experienced it with other artists they follow but I don't think to this severity did they realize how bad it actually is. What's sad is the system really hurts the majority of music artists especially the ones that actually care about music.

Seven.. a ENGLISH pop song with UK-based sound.. wtf? at the end of the day, all these award shows are racist af and will never care for anything outside North America and will always try to segregate POC artists just like the Grammys did with Tyla's song "Water"- first person to ever win Best African or whatever that's suppose to mean.

Doctor Who is one of my favorite shows ever! Who's your favorite Doctor? Mine is the 3rd Doctor. I'm really excited to see more of Ncuti as the Doctor, though.

Love this! RM calling out James Corden looked to me like it was discussed beforehand. I don't think it was a surprise. James was an actor before he was a host....

Iheartradio, sirrius and the vast majority of the rural radio network in the US is owned by ultra conservative, racist billionaire John Malone. BHM/Hybe does not do radio play payola, so BTS is not pushed down the chain for radioplay. Country stars that support racism are heavily promoted. This is how they win out on BB Hot 100 chart.

What was really funny, was JK did a livestream and harnessed 14m viewers at the same time Grammys only got 8million.
