I wish there were more people like-minded like you. I, too, cannot fathom why people get rid of perfectly good items. Where I live, I often see loads of good stuff put out for the trash pick up. Sometimes it's because someone is moving and they don't have time to find a good home for things. But beyond that, I find a lot of pointless waste. I applaud your efforts! And I love seeing your videos!

Tess, how nice you found a pair of Vans for Sam; i hope the fit. So an odd coincidence, but I went to Jr high and high school (12-18 year olds) with a daughter of the creator of Vans, they were the Van Doren family, and we were in Costa Mesa, California, near the beach. Their original shoes were deck shoes, for sailors, I think. And they were so popular because you could have them custom made. -
