I really like that BEC powering the servo idea.

+Adam Wilkinson : It's not a bad idea but it depends a little bit on how you power your flightcontroller (FC). This way the servo draws its power from the FC and drawing to much current (e.g. blocked servo, broken gear...) may result in a voltage drop and brownout of the FC --> CRASH!!!. It is alsways a good idea to power the tail-servo with a dedictaed BEC ;-). Anyhow it's okay as long as your FC has a completely redunant power supply (e.g. Pixhawk)

Ahh... okay! Then it is perfectly fine! Just make sure the 5V wire is not powering your FC ;-)

Try super glue + baking soda. You'll be amazed.
