Oil leaks are pretty great sometimes. Keeps the underbody from rusting out. And you never have to pay a shop to change your oil, the car does it for you.

Wait until the oil starts gushing out then it won't be pretty great.

Mines leaking from the crankshaft front timing cover. (It’s flinging oil out of the front main seal)

In your case the camshaft cover has a gasket problems...just for the security you may change the oil cooler gaskets together with the "o" rings for the cooling pipes around there...

oh boy im glad u told us where it was

In the front of the car I'm 95% sure that it's coming from the oil filter housing. After a long amount of engine cycles the gasket just becomes harder than a stiff cock and just seeps oil. Either that or the last person who changed your oil owes you an apology. I the back it's most likely not the valve cover gasket, but actually the oil feed and return lines and their gaskets that also seize.

head gasket ? saying gasket is like saying I replaced a bolt in my car now it runs better
@lionbolt2136 Жыл бұрын
@@Juppie902 probably a valve cover gasket. He said he has to clean the bottom of the engine. It's how gravity works
@Juppie902 Жыл бұрын
@@lionbolt2136 from what I learned head gasket can theoretically leak oil externally, too, if its damaged/destroyed at that part from the oil galley to the outside. Asked because my 06 golf had an oil leak from previous owner, he said its valve cover, i did that gasket but no avail. It was 2 years ago and its still leaking oil from somewhere especially after high rpm drives (its a SDI) when i did that cover gasket though i didnt add rtv to the bends. the oil pools at the back of the engine where the intake and exhaust manifolds bolt on, and goes on downwards.
@lionbolt2136 Жыл бұрын
@@Juppie902 well when you really think about it at higher Rpm the oil is moving ALOT more quickly and like you said it could have been a head gasket but generally when that's the case the oil mixes in with the coolant and makes that milky substance and when that gets into the combustion chamber it would burn it and you would see white smoke coming out the back but that is what I've commonly heard.
