A trick to removing the two shear bolts is glueing a longer bolt, with a nut on the end, to the top of each bolt with some JB Weld. Left it overnight and the next day I could easily unscrew them with a wrench.

@deamonmachine Күн бұрын
I'm not entirely sure what it does cause I never had an issue with it, but yes some cars DO NOT come with that piece, if yours doesn't have one, don't worry about it, it wasn't supposed to come with one.

I have an Tiguan with pano sunroof. I know I’m leaking in the back (driver side) along the drink window and down into the trunk. Is there a hole from the top to get into? With the pan sunroof open you came access it unless you go under, and when I go under I get nothing out really

Grandparents still drive a Volvo V70 from 2007 still run smoothly to date only required a gearbox swap at 120,000 miles otherwise the engine runs smoother than most Vauxhalls and Minis probably because of it being a straight 4 cylinder

I couldn't get the key to move at all, so I cut the cylinder in half and pulled it apart. Then the key would turn -and I found a tiny little pull spring that was chewed up inside the cylinder -that was the problem. A 10¢ part cost me $200 😂 Don't be afraid to cut it in half.... Oh and for the pin to unlock it -i used side cutters to snip off a piece of wire from a dollar store wisk. It fit perfectly.

I've had bad luck with local mechanics. They won't provide itemized receipts, they use low quality parts. At the dealership at least I get itemized receipts and geniune parts. And often the dealership is less.

unknown, sounds like you need to push the pedal down further, try pumping the clutch pedal and see if it makes a difference in how you can shift.. the hydraulics must hold pressure in order to shift well, if it's leaking down you can find that out by holding the clutch in, shifting into first and if it slowly starts to pull, then the clutch hydraulics are leaking somewhere.

According to audi this isn't the first one, That's why I think it's either a defect in manufacturing or they didn't cross their I's and dot their T's to make sure the material wouldn't fail under "normal" hot temps. Either way, it sucks for the customer pretty bad.

Thanks for the video. My mom has a 2012 Beetle and the trunk latch will not release. I bought a latch assembly and the M8 tool to remove the bolts that attach it. Looks like a ten minute job, right? Not today. First of all I’m a big guy, 63 years old. I folded down the rear seats and wormed my way in the trunk area. I quickly found the emergency release lever and used the car key to move it. No dice. I tried several times with no luck. Now I had to try to get myself out of the trunk. Not as easy as one would expect. I watched another video where a guy was unable to open the latch with the “escape” lever so he proceeded to use a large flathead screwdriver to essentially destroy the latch in order to open the hatch. I’m glad that I found your video where you used a pick because once your start ripping apart the latch with a screwdriver the is no turning back. Sort of like when you can’t get an oil filter off so you jab a big screwdriver through it to try to unscrew the filter. I’ll give your method a try because I already have a replacement latch and the tool to remove and remount the latch. Thanks.
