This video was exactly what I needed to see right now.. I am planning to travel to a few different countries this year on my own and I have been putting it off due to fear of all the things that could possibly go wrong.. After watching your travel tips.. I realized I just need to step out of my comfort zone and embrace the unknown.. It’s what makes every adventure so much fun.. not knowing where you will end up.. is part of the process of living free.. Thanks for the wake up call!!💯🙏🏼

In Niseko for two weeks, flying solo. I would recommend just buying a Ubigi ESIM. Been working really well so far, have yet to not know where I am. You are able to stay in contact with all of your people without having to worry about going on quest to find wifi.

Hi Casey, so stoked that you came to Asia - Japan! Thanks for keeping up the stoked hype! Always a supporter! Side question, I am a progressing intermediate and have always been wanting to try a LAGO double barrel snowboards. However I am not a fan of wanting to catch and edge, and have also read the reviews on it. They say that there is very minimal rocker in the tip and tail of the contact points unlike what the website claims it to have a mellow/forgiving contact points and that it rides like a super stiff traditional camber. Can I check if you would agree if it’s very hooky/catchy that for a progressing intermediate (Low to Mid Intermediate) like me, if I’m not constant riding at my 100% attention, would I end up catching and edge and body-slamming the ground? Thanks again!
@CaseyWillax10 ай бұрын
So0o0o much stoke. Its a great progression board! Its a medium stiffness so it will be very forgiving when it needs to be, but still has regular camber so it has hold. Try it out!

I listened to the housing crisis podcast and what you said about the discord and coming together to get housing and live the dream is awesome. I do not know if the discord is still going but anyways I would love to live the dream I just have college tuition now. I think about it all the time and I am always using you advice that I hear from the pod and vids. Just do not know which path is right for me and it is a shame I have to spend so much money trying to figure it out.

More Japan tips.. capsule hotels are cheap places to stay in the city (some are pricey but some are dirt cheap). As a last resort if you need a last min place to crash.. find a 24hr onsen. Luggage can be a PITA but not in Japan as there are many services that will send you luggage to a hotel anywhere in Japan for a small fee.. so if you arrive at Tokyo and will be headed to Niseko later.. you can drop your gear bag at the shipper (there are many at the airport, just ask someone) and it will be waiting for you at your hotel in Niseko (no need to lug it around the city with you). As for the business man you came across.. it is normal at night for salarymen to be near black out drunk in the city.. often you will see a few passed out on the train.

Hey bud, should I get a twin freestyle board or all mountain? I’ll ride anything but dig side hits and wanna get better in the park. Is a twin gonna be a big help in the park but a huge detriment everywhere else? I will always opt for an untracked pow day over anything else.
@CaseyWillax10 ай бұрын
Depends on the type of board. Some directional twin has those weird tails that don't do well backwards. Maybe get a directional twin with a normal tail so if you want to go switch you can

AAA is important. Last season last day wanted to night ride with fiends and had my wife take the car back to accommodation and pick us up later. Got side swiped by a car and because she had no international drivers permit she got taken to the police station and interrogated for 3 hours. Accident happened at 5 process was over at 11:30 pm. Nothing happened they just said don't do it again in the end. Goodtimes lol.
