Hello Stephen, I had never heard one of your sleep stories, but I felt transported! I'm 76 and have been bedridden in a nursing home since 2017. For over 55 years, I've been a professional artist with my paintings in several Museums. When I was 5 years old we lived in a flat, up some stairs, across the street from the Rodin Museum in Paris! I had a stretchy crocheted bag and used to go to the little shops and bakeries around the corner from there, for bagettes, fresh fruit, cheese, and wine, alone with my little shopping bag, I have been back to Paris a few times, and know the Louvre well. And have always loved the the top of the Eiffel Tower, I was truly transported, it was amazing. I like the "silent observer" style, and the affirmations at the end. Unfortunately I was woken up at 10 pm for medications, but I'm going to listen to another story in a few minutes, I just wanted to tell you how amazing and personal your story was for me. My father and I used to paint together (in oils) around Paris. So you could almost say I've been a professional artist since I was 5. I used to sell my little paintings to tourists, and buy escargot at a little sidewalk cafe, as a special treat...I opened my first art gallery in San Francisco when I was only 19. I'm currently living with Intractable pain, from damage to my spine, plus I have a kidney infection and several very large kidney stones. My pain was at a "9" for 3 days, almost called 911, to go to the ER, but that was too scary. I'm going into a very risky surgery August 5th, possibly a series of risky surgeries. I haven't been able to think of anything else. And my 52 year old daughter stole and sold everything I have ever owned and fled the USA, when I was hospitalized, caused me to lose my lovely 1913 home. I am all alone and have no money to send you, but hopefully this review will touch you. You are incredible! I loved your soft voice and reminding me I am safe. I've been so frightened and in so much pain, this is a terrible nursing home, they won't let me use a very safe heating pad to soothe the stabbing pain and won't even give me antibiotics. But your soothing words were truly amazing, you are a genuine artist and healer! My pain level has gone from a "9' to a "5" being transported to such a happy time in my youth. Thank you, so very much! With love, Susan (in Seattle)

Hi Susan, your comment not only touched me, it made me cry. I am so happy that you have written. You reminded me so clearly why I do this work. It is for healing and to help people feel peace in a world that can sometimes be difficult to navigate. I am sorry for what you have been through. I would love to hear more about your time in Paris as a little girl. Perhaps I could write a sleep story about it?? Please feel free to send more details if you think you would like this idea. Also, I did make a story about the musee Rodin a while ago. I’ll link it below. And there are many more Paris stories. Let me know if you’d like the links. I wish you peace Susan and all the best with your surgeries. Life can be tough, but there is always someone out there who cares. @@Stephen_Dalton Thank you for your wonderful reply, I'm so glad I was able to touch you on a level that you have touched me. You have a magical gift and an amazingly comforting voice, you are a true healer. I'm so glad I found you at a time when I needed you so much, but didn't even know you existed. It's was magical.. when I heard the words Rodin Museum, I almost cried. I was truely overwhelmed, as a warm blanket of love and compassion covered me and made me feel safe for the first time, in a very long time. I live in a terrible nursing home where I am mocked when I tell a nurse I'm in unberable pain, and they geer back at me, "YOU'RE ALWAYS IN PAIN!" almost shouting at me, and never showing any compassion. I was so thrilled to find your reply, I was so thrilled to feel your genuine compassion, I'm going to listen to the Rodin Museum story, thank you for sending it. Thank you for being the loving caring person you are. With love, Susan. (It's around 2 in the afternoon, but in a nursing home you try to sleep whenever you can, I can't wait to be transported to Paris, again.)♥🎨♥ kzbin.infogaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f380.png

Hi Susan, not that I have to do anything with this video or your conversation, except for that I genuinely appreciate both. Any person reading your comment will be moved to tears hearing your story. You are an incredibly strong woman and to take out time to write and so beautifully appreciate someone for their work makes you a little more human than the rest of us. I wish you good health and many more happy years to come. Get well soon and do comment so we know how the surgeries went. So much love and respect for you

Hearing your story brings so much perspective to my existence on this planet. I am trying to complain as little as possible and live meaningfully because now I understand that life can get difficult for each one of us. It is best to find solace in where we are and what we have achieved. Sorry to hear that your daughter didn't support you when you needed it the most. Sometimes people get too selfish. 😔 Sending you love and compassion. Stay strong.🙏

I really enjoyed hearing about the lives of these 3 people in Paris. You're now my go-to, every night whether I need your help to let go or to forget, or not. I enjoy your calming voice, the way you settle me into mindfulness in a relaxing restful position easily taking my mind away from any worries, and your reassurance of safety no matter what context the story is set in. @@sergiograssi4821 my love and i were in Paris in 2015. We went to the top most part of the Eiffel Tower, we ran to the Soufflé restaurant in the rain to get there 2 minutes before they closed, we had Christmas dinner at an odd little restaurant that had only 10-12 other persons that night, it was the most different Christmas we ever had. We started our visit in Paris in a room that had just enough room to turn around but yet it was also cozy and sophisticated. Every day we had pastries and coffee. We had already been together for a decade but it was a way to start all over again. We went to almost every arrondissement and then traveled south to the côte’ d’azur where it was an entirely fresh experience, like being born again into yet another reality. It’s not just that we can never return to that exact time and experience but also that we ourselves are there still, a part of us that I miss greatly, a part of our ‘coupleness’ that no matter what cannot be retrieved other than just a tad through our memories. In this moment I am lying in bed ready for sleep as I listen to this story, I am only slightly hearing the words, my thoughts are with my love. And although we are just two rooms apart in this moment and just kissed one another deeply, I miss that which will never occur again. I am not selfish or simply longing or ungrateful for the love we have now, better than ever, it’s simply that I miss the us from that specialness that we lived once and will never live again. ~Todd

You painted such a picture I couldn't help but be there, observing and feeling that special moment with you. Paris, what a place to have experienced and in such a way. A fulfilling base on which to solidify what sounds like an equally beautiful relationship. Forgive me if I have just a fleeting sense of envy. I too wish to find a love like this one day. I feel good watching your video😭. I took care of my parents with dementia. Fifteen years ago, both parents suffered from dementia and Parkinson's disease After that, he quit his job and had to take care of both of them by cleaning up urine and poop at the same time for a long time. I am also a survivor of a violent family. My father was violent, and my mother and I survived. Last year, two of you died three months apart, and I was very stressed out. After my parents passed away, all I had left was a sick body and heart. I had a brain aneurysm and I still have two brain aneurysms in my head. We also have other vascular diseases. Anxiety that you don't know when and where it's going to explode. I suddenly gained 15kg due to liver function, kidney function, and hypothyroidism, but it's hard to walk and move. And I'm still treating depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and insomnia. I got a job, but I quit because my health deteriorated, but the price has gone up so much that I'm at a loss. I still can't control a lot of emotions in my mind. I am in treatment and physically and mentally ill condition, but the path I walked is weak, but I want to share and communicate because I want to help, and I feel encouraged and encouraged to start KZbin. I want to be healthy now. I want to stand alone healthy and free. I'm looking for myself. I don't even know who I am. The center of my world has been my parents until now. My parents are dead, so they're looking for me. It's only now that I feel sad and hurt. My father was confident until his death and did everything for my children, but I was only hurt. I'm particularly sensitive to violence and sound. I think lethargy is the biggest problem. It hurts. I always wore a mask because I wanted to see it hard. After my parents died, my mask came off. There's a weak me. I'm crumbling and floundering.

I, as an only child, also cared for my parents in their final years. Especially mom, as my parents divorced, and they lived in different communities. Dad’s 2nd wife put him in a nursing home. Still, as if tru a “calling”, first mom passed, aged 93. Three weeks later my dad passed-one week away from his 98th birthday. I played the music of his day and songs he and mom used to dance to while sitting next to his hospital bed the last 3 days he spent in “comfort care”. Although he wasn’t able to speak at that point, the music and my presence still brought a little smile. Two years later, my husband transitioned. Finally…lastly, my sweetheart Mr.Paul Bidwell, the most amazing person and a record holder in The Scottish Games of America (56 lb.weight toss, and Caber Toss Champion) many years ago…took the last of my heart with his passing 2 1/2 years ago. I went to bed, exhausted, depressed, and depleted . I had/have heart rhythm issues and degenerative osteoarthritis. However, recently I’ve decided that I, as an uplifter and bridge builder, could learn to live again. You may decide to do that too. Take all the time you need. Listen to these sleep stories…try to spend time outside getting some sunshine ☀️…keep a glass bottle of fresh pure water on the table to remind you to hydrate. Listen to beautiful music…listen to music that is primarily in major rather than minor keys. Best to avoid very loud/harsh/negative noise and “music”…have fun…in good ways. I have 2 kitties, Oda and Liam, I love so dearly. Pets can be so special and helpful to our mental and emotional health. If you’re not up to providing the care and upkeep for a pet of your own, how about volunteer work at the animal rescue shelter. Volunteering is a good way to help get involved with helping others…it boomerangs backatcha 😊🪃 If you can’t find good people (kind,compassionate, caring, thoughtful,etc.) to be around, then enjoy the beauty found in nature…walks in the park or in the woodlands can be enriching for your soul. How bout visiting the zoo? Museums are very interesting. Maybe call your local volunteer center to see if they have a wheelchair you could use to prevent excess stress on your physical body …if you think you need that option. I wouldn’t hesitate to avoid watching/listening to the news. Don’t worry…it’ll go on without us…lol…and will still be there, should you miss it 😉 Breathe deeply and slowly…not shallow breaths, but belly breaths…this can begin to calm your vagus nerve. Then you may feel ready to do some regular meditations. You could discuss this and the other things above with your health care providers. I hope that something here resonates with you. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other…but also know that taking a break is good too. So I’m wishing you a peaceful evening, beautiful sleep stories, and good dreams…😊 Here’s to you …🥂🍪🥛…a warm glass of honey milk & your favorite cookie!

I've listened to this every time I wake up, which in a nursing home can be often. There was no interruption the first time I listened, but since then, three times at about 6 minutes in, a loud ad started to play, even though I have auto play positively turned off. Hopefully you can do something about that. I am so eager to get back to your mesmerizing, healing voice and amazing, transporting story, that feels like it was written especially for me. You have given me a feeling of comfort and safety I haven't felt since I lost my home and was forced to live in a horrid nursing home, abandoned by my 52 year old daughter who stole and sold everything I have ever owned, and fled the country, during a long hospitalization in 2017. To be transported to my childhood in Paris, living across the street from the Rodin Museum, has been utterly amazing. I am in awe of your masterful story telling. With love, Susan

Thank you SO much Stephen, your voice & stories are amazing 🥰 I havn’t actually heard an ending yet tho ! My suggestion would be in a zen monastery with a lil bell sound now & then ?! Again, TY 🙏

A little bell sound would wake me up as I was drifting off, not such a great idea, to me.. maybe a very hollow soft wooden bell sound would work.

Thanks for the lovely story. I'm sick as a dog in bed. Loving it, but the piano keeps waking me
@keaneragdolls96825 ай бұрын
The piano did sort of break the soft rhythm of your amazing voice, at times, I wanted to hear every word or would have turned it down..still the most amazing story, and offering "safety" helped me a lot, too.
