Lovely loco! I was wondering if/when you would make the leap to 71/4” gauge. There is the Echills Wood standard gauge weekend 14th-16th July if you are interested.

I will see what I can do, would be nice to get up there if I can.

The Jinty is a nice loco, but I fell for the Stirling Single.

The Stirling is dads, so I do get the chance to play with that occasionally.

@@TomsWorkshop42 That's great news. I love the way they stride down the track

Hi Tom, this was superb. Can we please have a video about the Jinty? I'm in the early stages of building a 7 1/4" Jinty and I'd love to hear more about this one. 😀

I will do a little look around it in the workshop some time this week. How far along are you?

@@TomsWorkshop42 Hi, Not far at all. The frames, frame stretchers, bufferbeams, and some of the small parts below the footplate are done.

At this point Tom you could name your workshop Jinty Junction

Just have to find a molly now to complete the trinity

I had considered it, lol. That would be fiddly between the frames…

Does this mean the garden railway will be dual gauge, or are you sticking with 5" gauge? Beautiful Jinty that.
@TomsWorkshop42 Жыл бұрын
It does not, at the moment. I don’t think it’s big enough to go up to 7 1/4 really, I’d want to be able to run bigger locos than the space allows.

Nice selection of engines. The inside cylinder engines seem to be more plentiful in 7 1/4”. What is the tanker behind the sterling single? Is it just a water gin or is he oil firing?
@TomsWorkshop42 Жыл бұрын
It was just a piece of stock that was put behind so that a passenger could go out too. I think it can be used as a water tank, but in this case it was nothing.

Tom is all the railway 7 1/4
@TomsWorkshop42 Жыл бұрын
Yes, that railway is purely 7 1/4. We’ll worth a visit, it’s quite an extraordinary layout.

Very nice, but it's Cockcrow rather than 'Cockrow'.
