Hi Tom, this brings back great memories for me as my uncle, Roger, is a regular at this railway and in fact one of the carriages is named after me (Annette), Eleanor is my cousin, who is also at the railway a great deal. Dorothy was our great aunt and Keely a very close friend of the family when we were younger. My grandfather did the sign writing for the coaches many years ago. So lovely to see them again after all these years. Thank you.. ☺️😊

I enjoy your videos of miniature railroad adventures. I was wondering if you were doing anything with your home railroad in the backyard?

Thanks. Unfortunately no progress for a while, a lot going on that’s taken me away from it, hopefully soon I’ll get a bit done.

Glad to hear it. Does she notch up at all?

Yea, she notched up fine, can’t remember if I hit the last notch, I may not have been quite going quick enough for that, but she went a couple of notches.

I have just been reading about the load cell problem at Imlec. It was caused by water ingress due to a lack of water proofing & the load cell being in the spray from the wheels. So poor design & even poor testing. They forgot that Imlec runs no matter what the weather as long as it is runnable.

Hi Tom. Love your videos. I've just got my first 5" loco, a 14xx. Have you got any tips / advice for starting out in the hobby? What kit is needed ect. Perhaps you've previously made a video on this subject?
@TomsWorkshop42

Thanks. I’ve not done anything specifically like that, but I generally hope to show realistic methods of achieving things, hopefully tips and ideas of what kit I’m using can be picked up, although that is a very open question, as it depends how involved in the hobby you want to be? Building locos, rebuilding existing locos or just basic maintenance to keep a loco running?
