Brillant video, just discovered this channel and find it one of the best local 4WD channels for local treks around Sydney. What sets you apart of the hundreds of others is that you clearly highlight where you are along the way so that other can learn before setting off for things to look out for perfect example is that mine in the cliff to the right, been past it 5 times and never seen it once. Keep it up, great work and thank you very much for the informative videos!

We went for a family drive yesterday 21/1/24, Bathurst to Hill End via the Bridal Track, it was an awesome day, very hot a dusty drive. Lots of people camping, heaps of traffic in both directions

It’s a great drive and you can tick off ✅ one of the iconic Aussie tracks too! 😀🤙🏼

Yes Brett, it was pretty much empty. Bit chilly in the morning but nice when the sun is up. 😀👍🏻

Nice one mate. This has been on the agenda for a while since the re-opening. It’s just getting the time. You should give the Turondale bridge to bridge a go. It’s a nice little track. I like your format and style. Subscribed.

Thanks Jimmy, I appreciate the comment. I’d never done the Bridle Track and it turned out to be my kind of track. History, gold, old mines, rivers and 4wding. What could be better? You just follow the river I guess on the bridge to bridge track? 😀👍🏽
@jimmymack1079 Жыл бұрын
@@Challenger4WD yes mate, follow the river. Five or six easy, shallow crossings and some lovely little spots to camp. It’s a nice spot and doesn’t appear to be as mainstream as the Bridle.

Thx for the tip, I’ll put it on the to do list. 😀

Neil, can you take dogs and camp with them on this trip? Love your videos, especially the coordinates you provide
@Challenger4WD Жыл бұрын
Thanks Gibbdog, it’s not dog friendly unfortunately but you can have a weekend exploring Hill End and take the dog. If you’re not camping Hill End Lodge for example has dog friendly cabins. 😀🐕👌

Interesting, thanks. Would a 4wd SUV handle it? How do you manage on-coming vehicles?
@Challenger4WD4 ай бұрын
@@doncoyote2 thanks, yes it’s a dirt road. Only the Root Hog crossing is rocky but you don’t need to cross there. Some of the campsites have sandy areas near the river which might require 4WD. If it’s busy and you meet someone, one of you may have to back up but that’s it. There’s places to pass but some sections of the track are narrow. You won’t have any problems. 😀👍🏻
