I would also recommend as a next listen of them to be “mama” of the Black Parade album. It’s a good back and forth song about the patient in the album being told by the parador or death, whose helping him transition into the after life share his story of dying and the relationship with his mother. The music in it is so all over the place yet makes sense and the story telling is great.

So the album it come from “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” is a concept album just like their album “The Black Parade”. So the song itself is just a portion of a much larger story. This song on that album in particular is about someone who is having issues but stops to help a girl who is also having issues. However, she doesn’t take his advice nor does she recognize his struggles. They are different struggles so she can’t relate as his are internal while hers are out and open. He is explaining to her that just because each others struggles are different, doesn’t mean that both aren’t painful to deal with.

@@sp0ngeb00b7 yesss!! I miss music that actually tells a story. In which the love songs they do have, make since as being a part of a much larger story. Not sure if you’ve ever watched Wendago’s video with his take on the “Black Parade” album. If you or anyone who sees this comment has not, HIGHLY recommend. Like you said in your other comment, they leave enough room for ones own interpretation but I found his to be my favorite take on that album as a whole.

Just like you probably gathered here, even though all MCR’s albums are concept albums and the songs are always part of a bigger story, they’re also loose enough so that you can take them at face value and they stand on their own as individual bangers 💃💃 TBH MCR is my favourite band of all time and I’ve seen them 4 times and idrc about the concepts unless I’m listening to the whole albums, their music is very broad in styles so it’s v playlist-able and you can just feel the music for what it is. I probably commented suggestions on the Demo Lovers vid, but so glad to see you continuing your journey and giving MCR a go, there are generations of fans now even tho they’re a newer band so newcomers are always welcome😁😁 “Thank You For the Venom” and “The Ghost of You”, I’ll leave here!
