Yeah, the male background singer is Harold Travis. He was gonna be one of Bobby's artist on his label. He was the first vocal artist on the song "Drop it on the One." Not sure what happened because Bobby had some talented people on that song including his sister.

This is the slowest song he ever did. I didn't know he can freak classics. I typically loathe remakes but this live version goes in hard.

If it weren't for the drugs and Bobby was able to finish his Mystical Magic album (Follow up to Don't Be Cruel), this song should have been recorded, if it wasn't already. This song, and a true recorded version of "From the Outside," & Tap into My Heart would've changed the whole landscape for R&B/Pop/New Jack. Can't imagine what he left in the table with that unfinished/shelved album
@wiltisdabest
@wiltisdabest 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah his follow up to don't be cruel should have came much sooner than the Bobby Album. I always wondered why this was shelved? Tap into my heart was a siaaack jam

Yeah that is one of the biggest lies ever told. Back in the day Bobby B had a pretty good voice. He was not a power singer like Luther, David Ruffin or Johnny Gill but he had a nice voice. Unfortunately, drugs and hard living have robbed him of his talent. His career should have been bigger than what it was.

Bobby was, good singing it, but not better than Whitney, in that Green Jumpsuit. She killed it, she sings, many songs, better than the artist. Puts, it ALL in all her music. Whitney was the BOMB. He had a good career as well, but that's my girl. She puts, it all in everything, she sings. God bless, may she RIP. Job well done.
