ഓണം സ്പെഷ്യൽ സദ്യ കൂട്ടുകറി || കടല ചേർത്ത കൂട്ടുകറി || Sadya Koottu Curry || Ep:626

Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Kadala - ½ cup
Raw banana - 1
Yam - small piece
Salt
Turmeric powder- 2 pinches + 1/4tsp
Chilly powder- ¼ tsp +1/4 tsp
Grated Coconut - 5 tbsp + 15 tbsp
Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
Water - ½ cup + ½ cup + ¼ cup
Jaggery - 1 block
Coconut oil
Mustard seeds
Urid Daal - ¼ tsp
Whole dried chillies - 4
Curry leaves
Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
Soak black channa/kadala overnight.
Slice the raw plantain and the yam into small pieces. Add a glass of water in the cooker along with the soaked kadala with some salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and cook it for 5 whistles.when the pressure releases we have to open it.
Cook the yam and the plantain with turmeric and chilly powder. Add some salt and water. Cook it with the lid on. Switch of the heat when the water is dried and the vegetables have cooked.
Take a grinder and add 5 tbsp of grated coconut (normal temp), cumin seeds and grind both with water.
Take a deep bottomed pan and add the cooked kadala and the vegetables. Add the ground coconut. Sprinkle the grated jaggery. Let it melt on heat.
Meanwhile on another pan add some coconut oil and let the mustard seeds splutter. Add urid daal , whole red chillies and some curry leaves. Now add 15 tbsp of grated coconut. Saute it till the coconut is brown color. Saute for 15 - 20 mins. When it Is done add pepper powder. Now mix the kadala and veggie mix to the brown coconut mix. Mix well. Check the spices and salt.

Hi, Veena, ഞാൻ ഓണത്തിന് ഈ കൂട്ടുകറി ഉണ്ടാക്കി. എല്ലാവർക്കും നല്ല ഇഷ്ടമായി. നമ്മുടെ തൃശ്ശൂർ സ്റ്റൈൽ സദ്യ കൂട്ടുകറിയുടെ അതേ സ്വാദ്. പിന്നെ, ഞാൻ കടലയ്ക്ക് പകരം കടല പരിപ്പാണ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചത്. ഉഗ്രനായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ വീണയുടെ വിഷു സ്പെഷൽ dryഅവിയൽ recipe ഇല്ലേ, അതും ഉണ്ടാക്കി (അതിലും ഞാൻ ഒരു ചെറിയ മാറ്റം വരുത്തി - ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി ഒഴിവാക്കി.) - അതും വീണ പറയുന്ന പോലെ Perfect taste ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയത് പൈനാപ്പിൾ മധുര പച്ചടി - അതും സൂപ്പറായിരുന്നു.(അതിൽ മാറ്റമൊന്നും വരുത്തിയില്ലാട്ടോ -----). അങ്ങനെ ഓണസദ്യ കഴിച്ചവർ മറ്റു സദ്യകളുടെ ഓർഡർ തരട്ടെ എന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു.. ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു - ഇതെല്ലാം veena 'ട curryworld നോക്കിയിട്ടാണെന്ന്. പണ്ടൊക്കെ ഫ്രെണ്ട്സിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ പോകുമായിരുന്നു ഓണത്തിന് ഇപ്പൊ അങ്ങനെ ഒന്നുമില്ല. എന്ത് കൂട്ടാൻ ആണൊന്നും അറിയില്ല. ഒരു അവിയൽ മാത്രം അറിയാമായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ നല്ല ടെസ്റ്റായിരുന്നു നൊസ്റ്റു. ഇനി ഇതൊക്ക ഒന്ന് ഉണ്ടാകണം. Thanku വീണേച്ചി
