Like I said, I am proud of it personally, just, it wasn't the kind of thing that made a splash on the team I was on. We had multiple guys under 4:15, lots of people getting recruited by D1 schools. I never made varsity at any point. It's a strong time for a lot of other programs, but for this one it was just kinda middle of the road.

That's optimal for distance events. Muscle only where you need it, everything else nice and light so you're using your energy efficiently. The body just kinda gets there naturally as you train. Those guys eat way way more than you think, though.
