When using black card stock and white foam squares, you can use a black marker to color the sides of the foam squares black, just like you do with white cored black card stock. Really cute card.

Of course, as a kid, I used to love to dress up for Halloween. My mom was a pretty good seamstress so I got to be whatever I wanted to be. One Halloween night, my brothers and I decided to egg mom and dads bedroom. She quickly opened the drapes , and, of course, recognized our costumes. The next, we had to clean dried egg. That wasn’t as bad as seeing moms scary face in the window and knowing we were in so much trouble. I gave up Halloween until my first year in college and discovered college Halloween parties and just how many cute guys were there on the prowl. Lol

I need a cheat sheet for which black ink brands go with water and water reactive inks and what goes with alcohol markers and inks. I can’t seem to keep it lol straight.

The bee costume was great! The card was absolutely spooktacular!! Another great card . The ink blending and colours are amazing. I want to try using distress oxide inks soon. The coloured ink spray that you used on your last card was crazy awesome.(I will have to look up the name). My creative thoughts are going in 50 different directions. That would make amazing Chris cards in red and green!!!!

Couple of questions. First what size paper do you start out with? Second what size rectangle frame do you use to cut down your card?

I always start with US Letter sized paper, 8.5 x 11, then cut it in half either the long way or the short way, depending on the orientation of the card. Then I cut into panels of 4.25 x 5.5 as my starting point.I think on this card, I trimmed the panel using the - 4" x 5-1/4" size or the 3-3/4" x 5". I use those the most!
