Next time you need to draw squirrels, don't forget they come in black as well as grey. I can picture you using the microns to color them in most of the way and do highlights on the fur with the blue green

@@zarahsgarden2097 Cute! The first place I ever saw black squirrels was the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The town where I live now, above NYC, has black squirrels and nearby I once saw a red squirrel run super fast through some trees. It was years ago and I think it was lost because they're not native to this area.

Part of your problem with the squirrel is the nose. They don’t have the round noses. And you were right about the longer bodies. People tend to draw them with tiny front “arms”, but they’re longer than you’d think and thicker at the top and their ears are pointier. Hope this helps 🥰

You're honestly my favourite art youtuber just because you show the whole process of making something big and show drawing spreads in your sketchbook that doesn't lead to some other big piece. It really builds up my confidence in art to see the people I watch show their process and that sometimes you don't have the motivation to do a big piece but the fact that you still did stuff if to be celebrated!

For those who haven't seen (in real life) peacock feathers actually have a brown base colour which changes to green on different angles

With the prompts, my mind instantly went to a detailed eye but, instead of a pupil, you can see a forest with a cabin and forest creatures reflected in it. My art style is too simplistic to pull it off but it's just a thought.

This gave me sooo much inspiration! I have this idea taking the peacock plant/squirrel idea and creating a picture that’s like your typical cabin in the woods w woodland creatures scenery. And making the cabin very fairytale styled so Yk it’s a different universe, the plant helps explain the peacock squirrels bc yk some animals evolve to blend in w their surroundings so in this universe where this plant goes the squirrels have evolved to blend in w em. And to further it create other mystical plants to create bunnies or deer with new and different colorations. Idk but im motivated to sketch it out and see what I come up with for other plants and animal combos.
