Then the sith created the first proto saber it was a lightsaber with a cord connecting it to a battery pack to power it before the kyber crystals. The jedi figured out the kyber crystal replacing the battery pack. Also the old republic the first game takes place 4000 years before yavin this game takes place about 300 years after Kotor 1&2.

A few things you asked: In the first trailer the person with the hat is supposed to be a smuggler. Handsome rogue you know. Based on Han Solo from the original trilogy. In general these trailers showcase both the lore/history around the game as well as the major classes you can choose. In the second trailer: yes, people with lightsabers are generally force users, most Jedi are "good", because usually if they turn evil they also switch sides, but there is such a thing as a dark Jedi, and in the game you can choose good or bad actions aligning yourself darkside or lightside, even while on the traditionally other side in the conflict. And the reason she can block a lightsaber with her hand is insane levels of force power pushing/absorbing the hot plasma away enough to protect her actual hand. She is the Grandmaster of the Jedi. In the third trailer, the significance is that the planet is Corrusant, the capital of the Republic, and the place is the Jedi temple, and the Sith just raid and destroy it. And yes that is the same Sith again, name is Darth Malgus. In the fourth trailer, the yellow glowing eyes is a sign of anger or hate and the dark side by choosing with them. The reason it breaks off is as he realises what he has done in anger, killing his twin. The two different flags and lightsabers they lay out showcase that they have beaten both Republic and Sith. They are a third party of sorts. More would be a spoiler to explain. Let's just say the father is the worst. In the fifth, telekinetic powers is just the force, but insanly strong for a kid. That kid is her daughter and the father takes her and mindalters her, she tries to rescue her, but it is too late and then later she comes after her mother. Star Wars is in the end always a tragedy at heart. In the sixth, no he is not Darth Vader. This story is thousands of years before the story of the movies. That's why it is called the Old Republic. Also Bioware is known mainly for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and a number of Star Wars games. All of them have lots of character development, choices and custom consequences and alignments based on those choices.

Also, since you seemed confused about Satele blocking Malgus' saber with her hands: I can't remember the name for it off the top of my head, but there's a Jedi force technique centered around manipulating energy. It's difficult to master, and most of the time it stops at blocking Sith lightning, but in rare cases it *can* go further to the point it works against lightsabers and heat. Which is kind of what competence in battle comes down to for the Sith and Jedi: they all have SOME degree of competence, but they aren't all perfectly suited to it. With Jedi you'll have Jedi better suited to diplomacy and negotiations, to studying the Force, etc., and with Sith you can have someone whose primary talents are in Sith Alchemy or sorcery, and that's all on top of the fact that a newly minted Jedi or Sith will most likely get absolutely stomped by a master.

That was his master, who lost when he had the advantage, but the apprentice won in an even match against the Jedi that defeated his master. That's how a Sith becomes a master. Also, the Sith betray each other all the time for personal gain. It's rare for Sith to remain loyal, as that is considered a weakness.

So, in star wars there is an ability called Tutaminis, that all Jedi learn. It allows them to negate, distribute, and absorb energy. Certain High Level Masters of Tutaminis, such as GrandMaster Yoda and GrandMaster Satele Shan, the woman in the trailer, are capable of blocking the energy from a lightsaber.

An important note: timeline wise, these events occur 3700-ish before the events of the star wars movies. There's a lot to get into when it comes to star wars, so I won't make a sweeping absolute statement like "these are the good guys, those are the bad guys". It's more like everyone has their own motivation, and all sides have lost perspective of the original goals they were reaching for. As a result, the jedi have become an order which denies and hides inconvenient truths, and the sith have lost themselves in anger, hatred, revenge, hunger and power. Funnily enough, the sith actually pushed back what might be called the real villains of star wars about 25,000 years before this, but it was a phyrric victory which saw their civilization crumble in the aftermath. The only other force who can claim the same is the Taung, later known as the Mandalorian Warrior Clans, but they managed to kick the shit out of the "Rakatan Infinite Empire" without any lasting negative side effects. The long and short of it is, what we're witnessing is about 30,000ish years of half-failures, misinterpretations, lost knowledge and clawing attempts at survival by multiple forces.

4:43 "I'm guessing red lightsabers mean evil." _Yes._ Lightsabers use a special type of crystal called a kyber crystal. Red sabers are made by "bleeding" the crystal. It was made by the Sith pouring their negative emotions into the crystal, such as rage, hate, fear, and pain. Some Sith believed that the proper method to gain a crystal involved capturing one from a Jedi lightsaber.

Star Wars has a lot of video games. Many of them used to be canon before Disney retconned them, this one included. It’s actually the third Old Republic game and the only one that’s an MMO. Knights of the Old Republic 1 for Xbox, PC and Switch is considered one of the best games BioWare has made alongside Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The first one even had a plot twist that rivals Bioshock in my opinion.

SWTOR was never canon, and they categorized most of the games in the pre-Disney years as their own version of canon (I *think* they just called it Game Canon, but it's been years since I last read about it, so take it with a grain of salt) that was always secondary to anything the proper canon did.

​@@calebgoodman3028 Star Wars has always had a weird relationship with its expanded content. A good rule of thumb has always been to never assume anything that wasn't in one of the movies as canon until an exec comes out and says "that's canon" (like they did with the Clone Wars show). And anytime you get something like a name being dropped in canon (Revan, like you said, though Malgus was supposedly mentioned at one point as well, though I don't know if it was in canon media or an expanded universe property--all I can remember is Palpatine getting a little more annoyed with Vader than usual and telling him he should study Darth Malgus), it's generally a good idea to assume it doesn't go beyond them existing. I don't know what the current situation is for Revan now, but I know everything he gets up to in SWTOR is non-canon. No idea what KOTOR / KOTOR II are, but I'd lean toward them being largely non-canon stories that the franchise can pull from as it goes forward and needs more things to do besides just prolong the Skywalker family drama. For a more recent example, Thrawn is canon now, but everything around him and what he did/does is already a significant departure from the EU Thrawn (which I don't really care about, since they still managed to do a good job with the character without making him feel like a completely different person). The fact the person who killed Thrawn in the EU is already dead in the canon means it's anyone's guess what they're ultimately going to do with him, too. EDIT: Wookieepedia has a good write up on the old Canon grading system Lucasfilm used, just look up the article simply called "Canon." It was...*messy*, but not impossible to make sense of. Just unnecessarily complicated when compared to the much more streamlined Canon vs. Legends divide that exists now (where something either is or isn't canon vs. a tiered and conditional canon scale).

Like Saint has stated the games have always been seen in there own canon with many having there own take on certain events we hear about. For example how the death star plans were stolen have around 5+ different versions from Kyle Katarn stealing the plans from a Imperial based on the planet Danuta to Battlefront 2 (2005) where the plans were stolen in a heist on the Deathstar and then transmitted from another location directly to the Tantive IV. Empire at War also has a different take as well which involved Han Solo for some reason. There's many more takes on this event but it wasn't until Disney took over that they started to group everything together into a single canon with shows, movies, novels, and of course video games, not forgetting brining aspect from the EU into canon.

19:15 "Why did his eye change color like that?" Sith eyes. There are many users of the force, and some of them use the dark side. The Sith are a particular group of dark side users, it's a religion. Their particular practices results in yellow eyes with a red outline. It comes from their superior ability to hardness their rage and anger. For most Sith the color is only there during states of heightened emotion. Particularly powerful Sith have their eyes like that all of the time, meaning they're constantly overflowing with anger and power. Darth Tyranus was the exception to this. He was a powerful Sith lord that did not have yellow eyes because he was an idealist that used the dark side to do what he thought was right, rather than simply being selfish.

The fourth and fifth trailers were from the first massive advance of the game's story. In the one called 'Sacrifice' with the twins, their father the Emperor raised them to be ambitious, skilled, powerful, and self reliant to a fault. Add that constantly ignoring their emotional needs and accomplishments and you have a perfect recipe for one or both of them to try and take the throne from him. He was putting them through the wringer to see if they would become what he considered worthy of his attention. The trailer after that, 'Betrayal' deals with the twins' younger sister Vaylen. She was mostly raised by their mother, who taught her to hide her incredibly strength in the Force. If her father the Emperor learned of it the mother knew that he would take Vaylen to mold her in his own image. This eventually happened when the Emperor witnessed Vaylen's outburst against the knights training her. She was taken to an isolated monastery where she was essentially tortured and brainwashed to be the Emperor's puppet and executioner. By the time her mother tried to rescue her, she was already in her father's control. And yes, it was Vaylen that attacked her mother in the last scene. In the game itself your primary antagonists in this part of the story are the Emperor, Arkan,, and Vaylen. Those two trailers are their backstory.

Some context on the Sith warriors you see in the second trailer. While rare on a planetary scale, there are still tens of thousands of people galaxy-wide that have some degree of latent Force talent. The Sith Empire drafted them in droves from planets they conquered and gave them enough training to serve as effective shock troops. Those that showed promise could then be advanced through apprenticeship to a Sith Lord.

So the deal with the yellow eyes is this: When someone uses the darkside they will become corrupted by it, mentally and physiccly. The eyes changing to yellow is the first sign of darkside corruption. After that it's general disfigurement.

While I personally will always hold Knights of the Old Republic close to my heart, I have come to accept The Old Republic for what it is. Jedi and Sith have two differing ideologies that are, on the surface, very simple, but both SWTOR (especially the Inquisitor's story and their conversations with one of their companions) and its predecessors, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 go over the different philosophies of both Sith and Jedi and are honestly very good ways to learn about the nature of the Force, as well as the ideals of both Sith and Jedi. Yes, you can make your own character in SWTOR. In fact, there are eight different classes, four per faction (two Jedi, two Sith, a Republic Soldier, a Smuggler working for the Republic, a Bounty Hunter working for the Sith Empire and a James-Bond-esque agent for the Sith Empire) each of which has a different story that explores its own themes. You have great customization over your character (well, depending on whether or not you pay, you get even more customization) and can sort of roleplay your own Star Wars story, so you can be a straight regular good guy Jedi or a more cynical, jaded Jedi, an evil bloodthirsty Sith or a kind, compassionate, shrewd Sith (my favorite because reactions from NPCs tend to vary between unconvinced to confused to downright terrified because you can get your way without even using the immense power you have), a noble defender of the Republic, a war criminal and so much more! But because it's an EA game, much of the enjoyment depends on whether you pay or not. For instance, without paying, you only have access to three Species: Humans, Cyborgs (i.e. Humans but with Cybernetics, yes they're a separate Species) and Zabraks (the ones with horns, like Maul or the Jedi who died in the first trailer), while more exotic species are reserved for people who pay a monthly subscription fee. That said, the main class stories and the first two expansions can be played for free and if you subscribe once, you get permanent access to all story content released up until that point!

19:16 ok so basically every time you tap into the Dark Side (evil side) of the Force, it sorta corrupts your body and one of the symptoms is that your eyes turn yellow. The whole thing here is that when his eyes turn yellow he’s overwhelmed by his anger at their father basically refusing to acknowledge them and their efforts. When they turn back it’s him snapping out of it and realizing that he’d just quite literally eviscerated his brother. I know I’m vastly oversimplifying it and probably getting some details wrong, but that’s the gist of it.

There are at least a hundred different Star Wars games, depending on what platforms count, how you define 'a game,' which ports are distinct enough to count separately, do edutainment games count ect. The first one (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back for the Atari 2600) was released over 40 years ago in 1982, with the newest AAA game (Jedi: Fallen Order) released this year.

Just games with Star Wars (or a film's title) in the title: 165 Eliminating duplicates and ports, and with Star Wars in the title: 75 approximately (did the number keeping in my head and I am pretty sure I messed up) Star Wars games Strategy Guides: 10, including Old Republic Explorer's Guide This is all assuming my Star Wars page of my spreadsheet is up to date. When adding new games to the spreadsheet, I add it to the console page, then the master page, often forgetting the Star Wars page. While making this post, I have updated and added several items. No, the guy in white armor is not Darth Malgus (the Sith Lord you saw in the previous trailers) I don't know his name, as I haven't played The Old Republic, but he serves what is called the Eternal Empire; a third faction in the war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire (which is why he and his brother displayed flags with lightsabers belonging to Jedi and Sith, showing they were successful in killing their targets) The guy in white had always been shown to be weaker than his brother, which is why the Eternal Emperor (his father) showed no interest in him. When he tapped into the Dark Side to strike his father down, and became strong enough to kill his brother, his father accepted him because he finally stepped up and showed there was a reason why he was worthy. The Eternal Emperor viewed the bond between the two brothers as a weakness, and it pleased him to see one of them suddenly grew a pair to try and take him on while simultaneously destroying that bond. (Yeah, he's kind of a jerk) Regarding his eyes, when someone becomes immersed in the Dark Side (feelings of intense rage and hatred) their eyes change from their normal color to a fiery yellow. Depending on how strong the Dark Side's influence was within that person would also show alterations to the eyes; such as the yellow being rimmed in red. This is what the eyes of Sith Lords look like. This is what Darth Vader's eyes look like under his mask.

I was gonna make some comments but it looks like Virtue got that covered. One thing that Virtue didn’t mention is what is happening at 28:35. The Jedi were originally and were supposed to me a religious order that kept peace. But to do that you have to have control of the force and if you have attachments that make you lose control and focus. So during the Republic Era the Jedi Order would take children that have the force away from their families so they wouldn’t form attachments and become what they viewed as a perfect Jedi.

And this is not even the first events in the Chronology, there are stories that go as far as 10.000 years before the Skywalker Saga..... Star Wars is truly an extensive franchise. Although a lot of what was established outside of the movies since the 70's has been de-canonized by Disney, all of those stories now labeled as "Legends".

I could explain everything you asked about but that would leave pages of text that honestly would only end up confusing you. So I will answer just one. The Dark Side of the Force is a corrupting influence. It corrupts your mind, body and soul. One of the most notable features is the eyes turn a luminous yellow or orange and have a fiery red ring around them. This is a physical change when one is completely immersed in the Dark Side, overwhelmed by pain, hatred, rage, and malice. A group of friends and I have been working on a trilogy of fan films that focuses on a group of survivors, one being Thel (played by me) who has lost his way and struggles with the pull of the dark side. He's forced to mentor a young girl in the ways of the Force but tries to steer her down the path of the Light and prevent her from becoming like him. Thel, Eena (the girl), IG-77 (a quirky and erratic assassin droid improperly reprogrammed to curb his homicidal ideation), and Brieyon (a bounty hunter antagonist turned ally) are the core 4.

Ok, Kyle, here’s a breakdown of the whole Jedi/Sith thing. I’ll do my best to keep it simple-ish, but you still better buckle up. The Jedi Order are an organization of Force-users who are kinda like monks who serve the Galactic Republic (basically what it sounds like - a union of planets spanning the galaxy, with a Senate who chooses a head of state called the Chancellor). They view themselves as servants of the Force, doing its work by keeping peace and preventing/defusing conflict, and generally have a reputation for being calm, wise, and not guided by emotion. For the most part they do a lot of negotiating ceasefires, mediating conflicts, and occasionally using their lightsabers when negotiation doesn’t work. When the Republic goes to war, most of the time they call on the Jedi Order to lead their forces. Most members of the Jedi Order are recruited as children (generally younger than like 3 or 4 IIRC), although in times of war such as this or after heavy losses, they’ve been known to recruit adults. Each Jedi initiate builds their own lightsaber before becoming a Padawan (apprentice) to a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master. In the Old Republic days they spent a lot of time just running around the galaxy resolving crises, mediating disputes, negotiating ceasefires and so on. In the movie era, they’ve become extremely shut-in to the point that they’re kind of a myth to the average person. The mantra of the Jedi is: “There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force.” The Sith Lords are aligned with the Dark Side of the Force, and are basically the opposite of the Jedi. Where Jedi see themselves as servants of the Force, Sith see the Force as a tool to gain power. Where Jedi control (or some say repress) their emotions, Sith gain power from their emotions, especially powerful ones such as rage. Where Jedi believe the strong should protect the weak, Sith believe the weak exist solely to serve the strong. Where Jedi try to make the galaxy a better place, Sith only care about themselves. Power and strength (physical or otherwise) are *everything* to Sith - backstabbing, scheming and skullduggery aren’t just expected, but quite literally *essential.* They’re pretty much the embodiment of the “if you can’t stop me from taking it, you don’t deserve to have it” kind of survival-of-the-fittest mentality. In the Old Republic era there are thousands of Sith ruling about half of the galaxy (at least as of the third video, which takes place at the end of the war between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire). As you can imagine, thousands of Sith ruling approximately half of the galaxy can get… messy. In the time of the movies, the Sith are under what’s called the Rule of Two - there are only ever two, a Master and an Apprentice. The Apprentice has to kill the Master and take their place so that the Sith perpetually grow stronger with each generation, and they have to do so before the Master just kills them and chooses another candidate.. The Sith mantra is: “Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.” Both factions use lightsabers extensively, but almost nobody outside of them (I say almost because there are other Force-user factions). You were right when you guessed that red = bad guy, but there’s a whole bunch of meanings to lightsaber colors, just do a quick google search and you’ll find a bunch of lists and articles on the subject. So just to let you know. THe Old Republic takes place around 4000 years before any of the canon stuff (aka Episodes 1-6, Clone Wars series, Rebels series, Rogue One, Mandalorian series and etc.), so you really didn't needed to know any of the characters in these cinematics. Only know that The Old Republic setting was first shown in BioWare's Knights fo the Old Republic game and some of the names from that game are mentioned in this one. Also, The Old Republic is MMO, mostly resembles World of Warcraft in gameplay, but it's focus is on the Story, rather than actual MMO stuff. And you can play 8 classes in total, 4 on each side (Republic and Sith Empire). And in each Storylines (yes, for each class, there's a separate Storyline), each dialogue, even in sidequests are voiced and animated, rather than a box with text, like in WoW. By the way, you were trying to remember what DioWare did and they made Dragon Age, Mass Effect and other series.

1.These cinematics and the actual storytelling in the games is some of the best SW as a whole has to offer. One of my favorite aspects of it is being able to play as a benevolent Sith and seeing everyone, Jedi especially,just lose their shit how in the world a Dark Side user could actually not be a backstabbing, selfish asshole. 2. The "evil eyes" are basically the trademark sign that a character is consumed by the Dark Side. Though interesting to note that neither the Dark or Light side are inherently evil, its simply how far individual characters take it that can make them good or bad. The Jedi , ideally, want to master their emotions but the Order itself took it too far and basically teaches many of them to stifle them completely in pursuit of enlightenment. Resulting in a lot of Jedi with a sense of moral superiority ,hipocrisy and emotional instablity just waiting to blow up in their face. Then the Dark Side is basically *all about* raw emotion and conquering them. Anger, sadness, hate, jealousy, but also passion, ambition and love. Its the the more quick and easy path to pure power, hell there are many cases where the Dark Side can extend your lifespan significantly and even keep you alive when you should by all rights be *dead* , but if you let it consume you you'll inevitably destroy yourself and suffer in the process. Ideally, in canon, characters who achieve a perfect balance in the Force have a bit of both. They harness their emotions, temper them and control them, resulting in a genuine understanding of the Force. 3. The Lightsaber colours do represent different things based on who made them. As tipically the source of power forna Lightsaber, a Kyber Crystal will reveal itself to its user. The Red Lightsabers are unique because the Sith essentially take whatever crystal they want and then "bleed" it until using the Force until the crystal turns a bloody red.

Hey Duck, so to give a little background on this: SWTOR is one of 2 game series (It's an unofficial sequel to the "Knights of The Old Republic" or KOTOR duo from 2003-4; kotor is available on steam/mobile w/mods, I highly recommend especially if you want to start this) set in the "Old Republic" era which is roughly 4k years prior to the movies/canon. The Narrator for the first clip is Bastila Shan, a character from Kotor and Satele's ancestor. Satele’s master is a Iridonian Zabrak, which gives him resemblance to Darth Maul (if you've heard of him), because Maul is a Dathomirian Zabrak, a subspecies. The red-skinned Alien named “Darth Vidican” is a Pureblood Sith which was originally a race name but they're now extinct. The Sith of this time were much more numerous, enough so that they formed their own council, with its members each taking the title of "Darth" the highest Sith rank, while the lower-ranks were simply Lord/Lady; one lord could have anywhere from 1-30+ students at once, which led to constant in-fighting and power plays. Modern Lightsabers (from here till now) are switch-activated so normal people w/o Force-powers can use them. They originally were just using Force-enchanted swords until inventing the first energy-based “Proto-Sabers” which required battery-packs and were awkward to use. The shielding technique that Satele is using to block the lightsaber was first used on-screen by master Yoda in “Attack of the Clones” when he blocked and absorbed a lightning attack from his former apprentice-turned-Sith, “Darth Tyrannous” or as he’s better known: Count Dooku. That is Malgus, he had to get special armor like Vader because of the damage he took from the “Air-bending” attack. The planet we see the big Jedi-Sith battle on is called “Corosant” which is the capital planet of the Old Republic, The Galactic Republic, (prequel 1-3), The Empire (4-6, Majority of Modern Star Wars), and the “New Republic” (the sequel movies and beyond). It is entirely covered by the city with extensions going down as far as 5k levels, (most of which are abandoned) the building where the actual fight took place is the Coruscant Jedi-Temple, there’s multiple across planets but Coruscant is the most infamous. The twin boys are Arcann and Thexan, they are part of “The Eternal Empire” which is led by their father “Darth Valkorion” (also called Tenebrae, and Vitiate) and sought to destroy both the Jedi and Sith, ruling the Galaxy for themselves; to explain the eye-color change, when a force sensitive gives into their baser emotions, anger, hatred, fear, etc. it can corrupt their very soul, causing them to “fall to the Darkside”) the color change signifies how corrupt they are, with entirely bright yellow eyes being the full extent. The girl is named Vaylin, she is the twin’s younger sister (I’d say 5 yr age gap) and the woman is Senya Tirall, their mother. Because Vaylin showed great potential in the Force (Possibly more than her brothers, as she was able to access Force-Scream and Force-Crush at a young age whereas the twins only seem to have the basic Force-Push) she was locked away and experimented on; only to end up fighting against her mother and allies, when she became an adult. The Jedi recruitment went as low as newborns depending upon the individual’s force-sensitivity, the Twi’lek brother wasn’t taken because the Jedi didn’t think he was strong enough to be trained as was the case w/ a lot of potentials unfortunately, which is partly why the Sith were so strong numbers-wise because they took just about anyone they could get… Also the style of Lightsaber Senya has in this is called a “Saber-Pike”. This game is an MMORPG, you make your own custom character and play through a story while running around a massive open world with other players. You should look at videos for the character classes next…

There is a rare force ability that allows a user to absorb energy. Very skilled individuals can catch a light saber or even absorb the energy of an explosion or volcanic eruption. They then have to do something with the energy though. One of my favorite characters from the now non-canon (used to be canon) legends books used it to do interesting things (such as create an illusion in an entire planets' population's minds of a jedi with a giant lightsaber made of explosion). He also tricked people into thinking their tasers and stun batons did not work.

So a bit of background: Star Wars: The Old Republic, or SWTOR for short, is set in the old Legends timeline. It is unfortunately the only story of that timeline that is still being told (since Disney declared everything except the movies and The Clone Wars non-canon rather than B-Canon about two years after they took over). The game is an MMORPG where you create your own character and choose one of 8 story lines to follow ranging from Jedi and Sith over Republic Trooper and Imperial Agent to more or less freelancer, namely Smuggler and, of course, Bounty Hunter. While the quality of the game is not as high as the quality of the trailer, I still think it's pretty good for an MMORPG. It's neither the first Star Wars game nor the first Star Wars MMORPG, but it's certainly one of the most well-known Star Wars games. Timeline-wise, it takes place over 3000 years before the movies when there were thousands of Sith more or less united in a great Sith Empire fighting against the Jedi and the Republic. This seperation from most other storys in the Legends timeline allows the game a lot of variety in its story telling.

Only way really to advance past your master is to kill him and take his place. Malgus saw an opportune moment for it and took him out while he was defenseless If you play the sith storylines on the game you get to see firsthand how brutal of a cycle it is with sith constantly trying to kill their apprentices if they believe they’re getting too strong.

Yep, MMO from Bioware.. Set somewhere around 10000 years before the movies. The main factions are the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The Mandalorians work with the Sith, and then there is the Eternal Empire. There is a tremendous amount of story in the MMO. Players are Republic or Sith Empire, 4 classes each with its own storyline per main factions and then the story line unifies while playing the eternal empire arc. My main character in the game is a female ex slave turned Sith inquisitor with an affinity to the light side. There is only the force.

So about the 2 parter involving the twins, thats basically the last chapter of fhe swkotor, older guy with the beard is valcorian a former sith loard who discovered immortality though essance transfer (aka transfer his soul to another) he betrayed the sith for a new empire called the eternal empire, the 2 videos involving the eternal empire were the beginning of the chapter where valcorion attacked sith and republic outposts, this would trigger an alliance between sith and jedi to stop him

I actually am just about to play this game right now. It's an old game, but it still holds up. Also the title, The Old Republic, is a hint that it actually takes place a very long time before the Star Wars movies most of us know and love. Also, the fact you just admitted to not seeing the movies means somebody in your Patreon is going to put down a large sum of money to get you to watch them and react. I am interested to see what order they have you do. I am a fan of new people seeing them in what is known as the "Machete" order which is neither release order nor chronolgical, but is designed to maximize surprise plot twists. IMHO, the best way to do it is to go Rogue One, Episode 4, Episode 5, Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 6, Episode 7, Episode 8, Episode 9, and for the love of everything holy, do not watch Solo or any of the Ewok movies. Also, do not watch the comedy movie Spaceballs at least until after Episode 5.

I think that you didnt understood the trailer about the mother nad the daughter, the daughter shows that she can use the Force (Star Wars magic) and the mother starts training her, but we see the that the kid uses the Dark Side of the Force (the bad kind of magic) during the training, the Emperor (the guy with the beard) sees that and takes her away into that facility, later the mother goes to rescure her with some men loyal to her, she manages to rescure her daughter but the kid refuses to go with her because she has been corrupted, later the mother is in the cave and sees that her daughter has become fully corrupted and is trying to kill her
