Ahh I misheard! that sucks! Oh well! Thanks for letting me know! 👍🏻

@@MetalHeavyLuis No worries. I thought the same thing until I read the lyrics.

Fun fact about the chanty chorus at the end is actually all 7 band members singing together
@squiggless3968Ай бұрын
I think the most chanty song as you were saying that they have released previously is infected but not quite to this extent. It seems like the standout part of this song is the callbacks to other things, “something wicked”, “sticks and stones”, and “we don’t need your education”.

Yeah the chanting and different ways they used the chanting makes this song stand out from the songs so by the time the song was over I had changed my opinion on it not having an identity (If you get what I mean) Also I missed the “something wicked” reference so will go back to listen out for it thanks!

Personally, I'd have said their chantiest song was either Trials or Devolution (for the ooh oooh oooh oh oh part).

To me, this song stands out from the other because the chant of the chorus, everyone singing that part makes it more powerfull and impactfull. And i like the fact is singed by every member of the band 💯

love this song, feels like the most anthemic and chanty as you said and i feel like thats what makes this song stand out from the other singles, 100% certified banger for sure tho

Yeah by the end of the song where I’m talking about hearing this live and having the crowd join in made me realise that this song has an identity and is gonna grow on me more and more 🔥🙌🏻 so far no misses with these singles!

The way I took the "back to sticks, back to stones, cause the words broke our bones" was a play on the saying kids would say to a bully "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" and people get hurt by words seemingly a lot now, so I took it as him talking about that. Though it definitely could be both, I like the way you took it!
@MetalHeavyLuisАй бұрын
I didn’t think of your take either! But that makes a lot of sense aswell! I guess its open to interpretation!
@1lotsАй бұрын
I think it's not about people getting hurt by words, but rather that we tried many times to solve the issues diplomatically, but it just didn't work, so we're back to violence

Im sure Ive said the same thing before in another Starset song aswell which is why my mind went to that analogy but it could mean something else 🤷🏻♂️
