This week's episode brings us to March 21st in the pipeline - my birthday hunt! For the first time EVER, I had a stellar day of old coins waiting for me on my birthday - FINALLY! Multiple 1600s coins were found metal detecting this unassuming field, and the relics just kept coming, too! This was easily one of my BEST hours of metal detecting (good thing I made that one free hour count!). Enjoy!

Happy Birthday last month!!! 🎉 What a fantastic day of digging super old coins. You guys are so lucky up there. If I get an 1800’s coin I’m super stoked. I did dig a counterfeit early 1800’s piece of 8 once at a CW property. It was about 3/4 of the full coin. I was told those counterfeits were actually rarer than the real deal. Heading up to CT in Sept. Hoping to get onto an old site or two then. I will have to do some door knocking. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the video . 👍

@StefDigs Fairbanks, Alaska. Any ground in the shade is still pretty hard. I would like to get out your way sometime. I first started detecting in Virginia in 2018. My second coin was a 182(?) large cent. I have been hooked every since. You should probably get to sleep 😴

Yup! On my copper coins that are not pitted, I use Renaissance Wax and buff them with a microfiber cloth. Never use it on pitted coins, as it’ll leave white residue in the recessed areas. A little container goes a LONG way - you can find it on Amazon! 😊
