Only thing i could find in my colonial copper book that had lines similar to her copper was a New Jersey it had a large sheild on the back that had lines similar to hers but thet would mean most of the sheild is worn off hers.
@StefDigs9 ай бұрын
I looked at it really closely when I was editing - could actually be a Wood’s Hibernia, perhaps, but it’s definitely under weight. The lines could actually be a counterstamp of some kind. It’s too bad it came out so rough! I can ID almost any colonial coin thrown at me, it’s rare that I can’t figure it out.

This year, I hunted a field next to my home, with my Nox 800 that I've not found many things in with my other machines. I dug a wheat, a 1940s padlock, and a piece of antique costume jewelry, I think my sister or mom owned. I feel the nox is great at making old sites new again. Happy Hunting!
@StefDigs9 ай бұрын
I ran a 600 for 5 years and did very well with it! The trouble when I’m out with others and filming with the Manticore is that I really try and film the targets more often… always a big mistake! The Manticore has lit up a LOT of sites I hunted with my 600. Just wait until you see some of these hunts down the pipeline… 🤣 You’ll be considering a Manticore, lol!

@@StefDigs Can't wait to see what's to come. PS I'd say that chain is from the 1970's if no maker's mark it's just a generic chain but still silver, nice find! That reale is amazing!

@@MUDSWAT thank you! Yeah, definitely modern, but I don’t hunt parks, and I seldom hunt yards or the beach, lol! I can’t tell you how many more coins on edge that I’ve dug with the Manticore over the Equinox. 😁 Was a really nice upgrade!

@@MUDSWAT huuuuuge! I went from an AT Max to a 600. I’d have bought an 800 but at the time, they were backordered everywhere and I figured the 600 was more than adequate for relic hunting, which it certainly proved to be!

Thank you! Almost all of our Spanish colonial coinage came from this continent, so it’s incredibly rare to find one all the way from Spain! The reason it does not have the Pillars of Gibraltar on the reverse is because there was no “nod” to the old world meeting the new. This was made for use in Spain and somehow found its way all the way over here!

What a delightful Reale Stef, the mystery copper could have a harp image like the Hibernias or Bust and Harp tokens we find in Canada. Great bonus to find the necklace and I think you should give it a new lease on life by wearing it ( make sure clasp is good ) 😉🇨🇦

@@StefDigs Maybe. Most cider was made in barrels at that time. I would assume it would be like ale. I am not sure how the maple sap pipeline taps are made. They live in the trees year round. I only ever ran buckets sugaring, never really looked at the pipeline setups.
